Today for all of my fellow Americans was a national holiday.
Here's how I spent it:
I woke up around 7:30 ate breakfast and got ready to go to a baseball game. The Washington Nationals (my home team) versus The New York Mets. I took the metro to get there like we always do to get to Nats games.
We got to the stadium around 9:30 we got to our seats around 10:00 because we had to buy tickets and find our seats.
I sat the closest I have ever sat at any baseball game. Except my little brothers Little League but that doesn't really count. We were in the 8th row from the dugout for the opposing team.
The highlights of the game were:
1. These guys in parachutes came down onto the field before the game started.2. The Radio City Rockettes performed about 2 yards away from me which was amazing.
3. I caught a T-Shirt which they were throwing from on top of the dugout. (It's a size large and I'm about 5'1 so it will be used as a pajama shirt.)
4. My father caught a baseball for me which will forever be on top of my dresser.
5. Nationals won 11-4 which is even better.
And that's only the first part of my day.
Other highlights of my day is:
1. My mom grilled and my cousins came over with my grandparents and aunt.
2. My family played spades after we ate (not for money.)
Other lowlights of my day is:
1. This boy during freshman year that claimed to like me but then also told my close friends he liked them, texted me for whatever reason.
2. We sat in front of the most annoying family at the game that had like 5 little kids under the age of 5. (the kids were all loud)
Random Fact Of The Day: In 2018, Nationals Park will host the All-Star game. (which I plan on going to)
