Soda's pov

After I dropped Lexi off at her house I couldn't stop thinking about her. she is just so wonderful. I couldn't picture myself with anyone else, soon I got home. Darry was reading the newspaper as usual.

"Hey soda where where you?"

"Hey Darry. I was out in a date with this wonderful girl. she is so beautiful. Her name is Lexi. her black hair and her brown eyes are so mesmerizing."

"Alright slow down lover boy you just met this girl."

"Yeah but I feel like I've known her for years."

"Alright." He got up from his spot. "it's gettin' late I better go to bed, I have work tomorrow."

"Ok. goodnight Darry"

"Goodnight soda"

"Don't let the bed bugs bite"

He laughed at my joke. he plopped down in his bed and instantly fell asleep. I feel bad. he's too young to be working like this. I wish thinks where like they used to be.

I walked to mine and pony's room to see pony happier than I've seen him in years.

"Hey why are you so happy?"

"I met this wonderful girl named shay. she's sweet and kind and so innocent."

"Wow, and she's a greaser? You don't see many of those kind of girls on our side."

"Yeah I know, I'm taking her on a date tomorrow"

"Oh wow! where?"

"At the lot. I'm planning on having a picnic lunch."

"That sound wonderful for a first date pony!" I was so happy for my little brother. "now don't do anything to mess it up."

"You know I met a girl today too." I said smiling.

"Really who?" he looked surprised.

"Her name is Lexi. she's a nice kind girl. I really like her pony."

"We'll I'm glad for you."

"Thanks pony."

"Don't mention it."

Just then someone came into the house. they came to our door and knocked.

"Come in" I said. then Johnny stepped into the room. he shut the door and walked over to us with a big smile on his face.

"Hey Johnny what's with the big smile?" pony asked him.

"I met this girl named kaylin..." I cut him off.

"KAYLIN SHEPARD!?"

"Yeah why" Johnny looked confused.

"Do you know what her brothers could do to you?! the last guy she dated when they broke up the next day he came back with bruises all over his face!"

"That's because he cheated on her. I could never do that to kaylin."

"Johnny I don't want you to get into trouble because of kaylin."

"KAYLIN MIGHT BE A SHEPARD BUT SHE AIN'T LIKE HER BROTHERS SHE'S SWEET AND KIND AND PRETTY!" this took me by suprise. Johnny's never yelled like that. I was kind of lost for words now. I sighed.

"Ok johnnycake I believe you."

"Look I'm sorry of yellin' at you man. it's just that kaylin means somthin' to me and she told me that no one would go near her cause everyone is so scared of her brothers." now I felt bad. I never really talked to kaylin cause I thought she was just like her brothers. mean,pervy, and full of themselves. apparently she's not like that at all.

"I'm going to sleep on the couch. night pony, night soda."

"Night Johnny" we both said.

"Come on pony we better get to bed too. it's getting late."

"Alright just let me get dressed." I climbed into bed and waited for pony to get in bed. soon he did and I put my arm around him like I always do.

I fell asleep in mere seconds. I guess I was tired for everything that's happened today.

Two bits pov

I was walking to bucks place. He has a party tonight. I'm not gonna drink too much. I have a date tomorrow!

I just can't believe I met this pretty girl at the diner today. her curly brown hair, and her hazel eyes. I can stare at her for days.

I can't believe she said yes to me! I'm so excited for tomorrow. I hope she likes me. I want to get to know her better. she seems nice but I can't jump to conclusions.

I got to bucks place and tons of people where there. This drunk girl came up to me.

"Hey handsome" I could tell she was totally drunk.

"Get off of me" I said and shoved her off.

"Ooh touchy." I started lauphing. I didn't see dally witch surprised me. then I seen him with this girl. wow am I not surprised.

I just let him be. I decided to just sit on a couch.but that girl kept on following me. don't get me wrong she was cute but I don't want to be with her.

"Hey, how about we go upstairs?" Was she really asking me to sleep with her?

"Um no"

"Aww why" she started playing with my hair.

I shoved her off. she just started lauphing. Man this girl must be super drunk.

She then tried to kiss me but I shoved her off and she fell on the floor. she passed out due to too much alcahol.

I just decided to leave. I wasn't having fun anyways. I started walking home when these socs came by.

"We'll well well what do we have here?"

"What do you want bob?" I popped my collar up and stuck my hands in my pocket while leaning on a tree trying to act cool.

"Oh you know just driving around." i laughed because I knew he was looking for trouble. he then came at me and I punched him in the face. his nose started bleeding and that's when his friend came out.

The other guy hit me in the gut and I doubled over. he then started kicking me while bob punched my face.

I caught the guys leg and he fell to the ground. I then punched bob in the place where the sun don't shine. He doubled over in pain.

I then took the chance and kicked his friend in the same area. I wiped the blood from my face.

"Don't forget what happened here tonight" they got up and hurried off.

I then walked home. I walked a lil' slower from before because I had bruises everywhere. I finally got home half an hour later. I cleaned up my cuts then got ready for bed. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
