We pulled into Ki'Loni's driveway and Michael turned the car off. I was dancing in my seat then I looked back at Zoey, slightly rolling my eyes. We had to drag him along because James told us to. Speaking of that situation, he didn't remember me. He barely even acknowledged me and that was hurtful, but I'm used to it. I opened the car door and jumped out with Zoey right behind me. Michael was still in the car on the phone. Zoey crept behind me then gripped onto my waist. I screeched and he leaned toward my ear.
"Shhh. We never finished what we started," He whispered, grinding against butt and nibbling at my ear.
I swung my open hand at his shoulder. "And we will never finish it," I loosened out of his grip then walked over to Michael's driver side. I knocked on his window and he rolled it down. He put the phone down.
"Yeah," He asked, looking directly at me as his eyes sparkled in the sun causing my stomach to flutter and my cheeks began rosy red.
"Um, I just wanted to know how long you'd be," I said then tucked in my lips as my dimples showed.
"Actually, I'm not going in. This is meant for you and Zoey," He smiled at me causing my heart to skip a beat. I wonder does this boy know what he does to me.
"W-What? Why," I asked, crossing my arms under my breast and huffing. "I don't even like him,"
"You better learn to. And fast," He chuckled.
I wacked his arm, playfully. "Whatever, but we need to talk,"
"About?" He said, shifting in his seat.
"You'll know when we talk," I said then reached into the car and pinched his side gently before turning on my heels and walking toward Zoey.
"For a girl, you dress like a boy alot," He stated, referring to my sweat pants, Jordan slides and over sized pullover.
"Okay. And? What does that have to do with you," I said with irritation.
"Damn, shawty. Chill, I was just sayin," He said stuffing his hands into his pockets.
I didn't feel bad, he should really leave me alone. We stepped onto her porch then knocked on the door. We waited for about a minute until she opened the door and gasped. She covered her mouth and her skin went pale as if she'd seen a ghost.
"K-Ki'Loni. It's me. Tamara and Ja-"
"My name is Zoey," He scoffed.
"No. You were born as James Jr, but James and your 'mother' brainwashed you. This is your real mom, you dumbass," I rolled my eyes, sighing. I shouldn't have told him like that. After awhile, I felt bad. He just stood there frozen.
"You're a bitch and that is NOT.." he began to tear up," that is not my mom," He turned then stormed off, getting into the car.
I rubbed my arm, nervously then looked up at Ki'Loni. "I'm sorry. This-"
"No. Don't be. You brought me my baby," She said as tears rolled down her cheek. "Thank you."
"I'll come back another time," I said before stepping off her porch then slowly walking to the car. I got in, not even looking at either one of them. Michael asked no questions and slowly pulled off.
I kept staring into my lap. The word "bitch" replayed in my head over and over. I'm not a bitch, he's just an ass. Okay? And if I let him run over me then he would be mean to me all the time and I'm not letting that happen. I looked up and we were at their house. Zoey jumped out first then I attempted to go, but Michael grabbed my hand.
"So, what'd you want to talk about," He looked me directly me into my eyes, putting me in a trance. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. This boy is just absolutely amazing. I like him. I want him to be mine, but I know I don't deserve him. I'm really going to change for him.
"Uhhhh, I just....wanted to thank you for...everything. You've changed the way I see things. Just...This is what I needed. Thank you," I leaned over and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Uh, you're welcome. I'm glad I changed you I guess," He said uneasily.
"You okay," I asked, looking at him with concern.
"Um, we'll talk about it at another time," He said getting out of the car.
I nodded then stepped out of the car and walked into the house behind him. James was standing there consoling his wife and talking to Zoey. He looked at me then clenched his jaw.
"Get out," He said.
"What," I asked dumbfounded.
"GET OUT! You're trying to tear my family apart, but it won't work, so get out." He yelled while pointing his finger at the door.
"That's not what I'm doing," I slightly whispered. "I was trying to reconnect with you. I can't believe you don't even remember your first child," I covered my mouth. Oh shit.
