Chapter Twenty - Seven

Jaehee's Pov

Curiosity filled my head but I was also nervous at the same time, I had been trying to ask Kai where he was taking me but he always avoided the question.

I looked down at the hand Kai was holding, the way he held my hand was really soft like I was a fragile thing that could break at any time.

Though that still didn't explain why he brought me all the way from SM building to the dorm, we arrived really quick because of Kai's speed when he ran from building to building, I was on his back the entire ride.

When he landed on ground, I quickly got off his back and glared at him, arms crossed against my chest. "Spill it. What are you guys planning?"

"We're not planning anything."

"Liar."

He smiled and pulled me along. "Come on, you'll get your answers once we're inside." I pouted but gave in as I followed him into the dorm.

When we walked through the front door, I was welcomed by darkness. The lights were all off, I had to be careful on where I step in case I trip or knock over something. 

Kai was the first to enter and I followed behind him, when he turned on the lights I was greeted by several loud voices. "Happy Birthday!!" The house literally shook.

I felt like my heart leaped out of my chest because of how extremely startled I was, I didn't expect this at all especially when I never told them my birthday before.

"How did you guys know it was my birthday?" I covered half of my face so they wouldn't be able to see how red my face was, tears also threatened to fall from my eyes but I kept blinking them away.

Chanyeol stepped up and placed a party hat on my head. "Manager-nim told us last night so we had to make a last minute preparation. Sorry if it's not much."

"Are you kidding me? This is more than enough, I'm really happy right now." I hugged him then I went on to hug the others including Luhan who actually hugged me first before I did, which was a little surprising but I guess it meant him and I are a bit closer now.

To be honest, it kinda felt like forever since anyone has celebrated my birthday. Due to my contract of 3 years, I couldn't exactly see my family and celebrate my birthday nor could I celebrate Christmas or other occasions.

But whenever I got my pay check, I'd send them to my parents and to my little sister just to let them know I was okay and that I was living my dream.

"Jaehee, make a wish and blow out the candle." Tao chimed excitedly.

I chuckled and nodded. I stood in front of the birthday cake that Chanyeol was holding then closed my eyes and made a quick wish.

I wished that everyday could be as happy as today.

After I made a wish, I blew out the candles then cut the cake, the members clapped their hands as they cheered really loud. Kyungsoo took the cake away so he could it into small pieces.

As for the other members, they turned on the radio and pulled me to dance along; we sang, we danced and even played a couple of games, it was a really fun time, I truly had a blast. 

I will never forget this moment until my last breath. Without them, I'm nothing.

The next day, we arrived at Music Bank and got ready for our comeback stage. I was so nervous, I even felt like throwing up. It has been a while since I sang on stage so the nerves were kicking in really hard.

10 minutes before we got on stage, We checked our choreography for Christmas Day one last time.

The choreography is really cool and sexy too so I think the girls are gonna love it.
