Maya:

Yes, I invited him in for coffee. Because I don't want him to leave, I feel save around him and he makes me happy.

I know it's early, we've known each other literally for like two days and I'm already saying these things.

But sometimes you just get that feeling about someone and you know, he's the one.

That's Shawn.

As I was taking our coffee mugs back to the kitchen my phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my sweatpants pocket with my one hand.

I dropped one cup after I read the message.

Marcus. 'He can't save you.' It read. How does he know? Is he here? God, I hope he isn't here.

"Maya. What's wrong?" Shawn asked seeing my pale face. "N-nothing. Sorry I'm a bit clumsy." I lied and bent down to pick up the broken cup. "Let me help." He said and bent down to help me pick up the broken pieces. "Thanks." I said and turned to get a broom.

"Ow!" Shawn exclaimed and I turned around to see his hand full of blood. "Oh shit. Come with me." I said grabbing his other hand and rushing to my bathroom.

I grabbed my toiletries and searched for my first aid kit.

"Got it." I said and opened it up. I rinsed Shawn's hand off under the cold water and dried it off with a cotton pad. I took out a big bandaid, sticking it over his cut.

Out of natural instincts, and my mom always did it, I bent down and kissed his cut without even thinking. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that." I said embarrassed and looked up at Shawn who's staring at me.

"You've looked at me like that the whole time. Why?" I asked and he stepped closer to me. Our faces inches away from each other's. "Because you amaze me." He said and smiled making me smile.

"You should probably get some sleep. You have a show later." I whispered and he nodded. "Goodnight." He said walking out of the bathroom and I heard him closing the door behind him.

"Oh my gosh!" Was all I managed to say. I couldn't get this idiotic smile of my face and I was just to happy to sleep.
