A Blast From The Past

BLEEP BLEE! My phone alarm went off, I jumped up and hurried over to my wardrobe. Today I am going to see one of my favourite bands called The Tide in Bristol with my best friend Roni. 

I dashed to the bathroom and had a shower. I wanted to make sure I was ready. I wanted to get to Bristol early because I wanted to line up early. Roni had said that if you're in the queue first you get a better spot inside. 'I wonder if we would get to meet them' I thought to myself but I was doubting it, and it wouldn't matter anyway because I have a follow from Austin Corini and Drew Dirksen and I was going to see them live which meant so much to me.

My mum was dropping Roni and me off to the train station. Roni and I went upstairs to the car, my mum drove us to the station. When we got out of the car my mum realised she had forgotten our tickets so she had to call her boyfriend to drop them off. I doubted even more to myself that we may never be able to meet The Tide and just accepted and appreciated that we were going to see them.

Roni and I still managed to get to Bristol around lunch time, we went to a shop to buy some food and drink and went to find Thekla. Thekla is a boat (for those who don't know what it is). We sat down and waited to queue up to get inside.

After a while, Josh Taylor showed up. Josh Taylor was one of the supporting singers for The Tide. Roni and I went over and got a picture with him. Once we finished, I was about to leave but Josh pulled me back into another hug and kissed my head and he did the same to Roni but he kissed her cheek.

So now I just sat wondering if we may get to meet The Tide because we got to meet Josh Taylor. After a while, I turned my head to find that The Tide had arrived, only Drew, Levi and Nate though because Austin was arriving a little after them. They went inside, my heart sank because I wanted to meet them so bad but they just went inside. So I started doubting they would come back out. 

A few minutes after Drew, Levi and Nate came out to meet us and Austin went inside. Roni and I were standing around Drew and Levi when they were filming something but we saw that Nate looked lonely and we both agreed to go and meet Nate first. My friend got her poster signed and she gave him a letter that she had written and I took a picture of her and Nate. When it was my turn Nate signed my poster, I wanted to ask him if I can have a picture but I muddled up my words and ended up saying "Can I have a hug please?" and bless him he was cool with it and gave me the sweetest hug ever. I felt so awkward after.

Next was Drew. My friend got her poster signed and she got a picture and I got my poster signed and a picture too, Drew was amazing and his hugs were too but nothing much really happened between me and Drew apart from just getting along when we met. 

Levi was next after my friend had her go, it was my turn, Levi signed my poster and he gave me a hug and then took a selfie with me and then he pulled me in for another hug, bare in mind the circle wasn't tight and most of the fans were scattered about within the circle. It was the longest hug but I love Levi's hugs, they are so warm and comfortable, I almost fell asleep in his arms. When we finally broke the hug fans had formed a circle around us and I was looking around for an exit and looking for my friend. I said to Levi "I'm stuck in the middle." I was kind of nervous when he replied back "Me too." he giggled a little bit. 

Let's skip to Austin because Drew, Levi and Nate were out there for a while and we went back for group selfies etc. When it came to meeting Austin I looked at him, then he turned his head and his eyes locked themselves to mine, I almost mentally died (Not physically though) and when he walked up to me to take a picture I felt happy, I gave Austin a hug, he signed my poster and we got a selfie. It was like he could read my mind when he looked at me. 

After meeting the boys I was so so so happy. New Hope Club had arrived but we couldn't meet them because so many fans were crowding the car. So we let them go inside. A few hours later it was time to queue to go inside, we managed to get in front of the queue to get a good spot to see the boys, it was 4th row because of the VIP people but I didn't care, we were close enough. 

After that night I have fallen even more in love with the band and more in love with Levi. It was time to go home and I just couldn't believe how amazing this night was. Thank you, boys.
