“My my, you’re such a pretty little thing. What lovely eyes you have!” They all fawned.

“Thank you. They all say I take after my mother.” The girl beamed, a sweet and delicate smile accentuating her dainty features just as the heavens sent a gentle breeze caressing her porcelain, rosy cheeks and soft brown curls.

Even the angels love her.

What a blessed and natural beauty.

“Wow lady, you’re so beautiful. I wish I can grow up to be half as gorgeous as you are.” A child looked up wistfully at the voluptuous woman.

She’d received more extravagant compliments prior to this, and for the first time she wonders if all the anesthetic had finally worked its way beyond her implants to the depths of her heart and numbed all the guilt that settled there for years.

“Thank you. I worked very hard for it.” A smile so dazzling, so brimming with confidence. Someone had sewn it over her own years ago.

The air was stale, no cherubs nor wind wanted to kiss her silicone complexion.

But it didn’t matter. Because the heavens hadn’t been fair to her in the first place.
