I guess my first day wasn't so bad. At least I wasn't alone.

The neighborhood we moved into wasn't too far from the school, it was actually walking distance. Sarah wasn't going to be getting out of work for another hour or two. I started walking and put my headphones on.
But then as I'm walking I start hearing a car horn. It sounded as if someone was trying to make a beat with the horn. I turned around and saw Jack driving next to me in a jeep. Someone was sitting next to him and Caroline was sitting in the back.

"Hey, you live around here?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, acouple blocks away actually."
"By a park?" Caroline asks with excitment. I nodd.
"Ayye, I live there! OH my god, you're my new neighbor." She smiles.
"You want a ride?" Jack asks.
I hesitated. "It's fine, It's not far at all-" I get cut off.
"So it's not a problem at all." Caroline says, opening the car door.
I didn't say anything else. I got in the back with Caroline.

In the passenger seat there was a blonde haired boy.
"This is jack." caroline introduces.
I looked at her confused and then looked at both of the Jacks in front of me.
"There's two of you?" I asked.
"Pretty much." They both said simoltaniously.

The car ride wasn't long, exactly like I thought. We were just jamming out to music. And from that small car ride I quickly learned that Jack and Jack werent only best friends but they were musically talented. (And their last names) Caroline was super energetic and outgoing.
"Oh wait, Lexie has to come this weekend." Caroline says.
"Where?" I asked.
""Yeah totally." Jack J said.
"Every other weekend we just chill at Gilinsky's house. You should come." Caroline explains.
"Um, I'll try to see if I can go." I said with a smile.

They stopped in front of my house to leave Caroline and I. Caroline got out of the car and did the same handshake I saw earlier today with both of the Jacks.

"Which house do you live in?" I asked, once they left.
"The house in the corner." she says pointing to the house.
We started walking to her house.
"You guys seem really close." I said.
"Oh yeah, but no I'm close with all of them really. They're like my brothers." she continued to explain.
"Jack and Jack met like back in kindergarten, it's crazy. But I met them in like the fifth grade and ever since we met, we've been best buddies."
"And what about the other guys?" I asked.
"They all kind of new each other seperatley and then eventually came together. We all became super close through the years."
"That's cool, that you have them you know." I said.
"I'm so lucky to have them. And I can only imagine how it feels like for you, I'm sorry you had to leave your friends." She says,

"Oh no, trust me that was not something I was worried about."

She looks at me a bit confused.
"Let's just say my, 'friends' weren't the best of friends."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
There was a moment of silence before she changed the subjct, which I was glad she did.

"So you'll come this weekend right?"
"I'll talk to my aunt about it." I said.
"Cool, let me know. " She says.
We said bye and I headed back home.

Home. It was going to get some getting used to. Calling this new place a home was weird, especially with my parents not around. It didn't always feel like this. I used to have more fun, care more. But now after learning a few things, I couldn't care less.

I went upstairs into my room and changed into comfy clothes, putting my hair into a messy bun. I opened my window, letting the fresh air in and grabbed my laptop and laid flat on my stomach on my bed. I played music and started searching for new songs. This was relaxing to me.
An hour or so later, Sarah came home. She came into my room and plopped onto my bed next to me.
"So...how was it?" She asked, nudging me.
