Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.

I combed roughly threw my long blonde curls so I wouldn't be late for breakfast. It's my older brother Dudley's eleventh birthday today and Mum and Dad didn't like to displease him. Dudley and I have always been spoiled, spoiled rotten. We got whatever we wanted, when we wanted it. Dudley, however, took this to a extreme.

I played with the blue buttons on my yellow dress that I had gotten for my 10th birthday a few months ago. I also had gotten teddy bears and hair ribbons among other things. I skipped  down the stairs to the kitchen taking a moment to glance at Harry, who had been cooking bacon. I like Harry but my family doesn't and I don't know why. Harry is family, why should we treat him other wise?

I looked up to my Mum with a grin on my face "Mummy, could I help Harry with breakfast?" I ask her in the sweetest tone I could muster. Before she could answer I heard a loud bark from my father "Of course not, the boy can do it on his own, Deliane!" I winced at the loudness of his voice and sunk in to my chair. When I saw that my parents were no longer scolding me I looked to Harry with a small smile, but all I got in return was a glare.

No matter how hard I try  to be nice to Harry he never amuses me with comradeship back. I can understand why, even though I wish it wasn't so. My family was always terrible to him and he probably thought I was just like them. I've always felt bad for him. His parents died in a car wreck when he was just a baby and he came out with just a scar- it doesn't really sound like a realistic story to me but the only thing I've been told.

'Thump' 'Thump' Thump' I jumped to the sound of Dudley jumping gracefully down the stairs. "Happy Birthday Dud!" I smiled at him. He smiled at me slightly before plopping to his presents. "Two less than last year" he screamed. I refrained from rolling my eyes. "We'll go to town and get two more Dudley" my mother told him worriedly.

Just then the phone rang my mother answered it quickly and then a look of grimace masked her. "Mrs.Figg broke her leg" my Mummy said panicky. "Can't Marge watch him?" She ask father. Aunt Marge was like a women version of father she was over-weight and could be quite nasty, I don't like her very much. Her dogs always bark at me.

"I could stay here" Harry said in a happy tone. My mum stared at him as if he were crazy. "No! We could take him to the zoo" my Mum said. I smiled in delight "and leave him in the car" she continued. "The car is brand new he is not being in there alone" my father said angrily. My brother wailed obnoxiously to himself " I don't want him to come! He will ruin it!" he screamed. I just sat their quietly.

Some time later, my brother's best friend walked in the house. The commotion stopped instantly. My mummy always says "there's a way we act alone, and there's a way we act in front of others." everybody in the family strictly abides to that. Harry ended up coming with us to the zoo. He had to sit at my feet because there was no empty seats. I whispered 'sorry' to him but he just ignored me. When we got there we saw all the animals I could imagine tigers, seals, lions. Personally elephants were my absolute favourite.

When we got to the reptile section Dudley jumped with joy and ran to the biggest snake there. Snakes scared me so I spent most of my times as far away from that snake as I could. All of the sudden I heard Dudley screech "Dad look what this snake is doing" Harry fell to the ground. I ran to help him up but then the snake jumped from the it's exhibit and  I screamed in fright as it chased Dudley. I wanted it to disappear... and that's what it did! It was gone. I was still breathing heavy in terror.

Did I do that?

AHarry was in trouble again, I didn't know why. He didn't open the snake's exhibit. When we got home my father yelled with anger at Harry and threw him in the cupboard with no food. I felt tears run down my face for Harry, I decided I would take some of my dinner to him after everyone else was sleeping.

Long after dinner and my bed time I tip-toed down the stairs, skipping the ones that screeched with a bag of ham and mashed potatoes. I stoped in front of the cup board and knocked on the door as soft as I could. A couple seconds later it slid open. I looked up to see green eyes, matching mine and black messy hair. Harry raised his eyebrow questionably. I thrusted the bag toward him and whispered "I brought you dinner, Harry" he looked at me with big eyes "Why" he asked "No cousin of mine is going to bed hungry for something he didn't do" he took the bag and eyed it carefully. "I'm sorry it's cold I had to make sure Mum and Dad were sleeping" I said apologetically. "No, no this is great thanks" he told me shaking his head. "Your Welcome, Harry. Goodnight" I yawned "Good Night" he replied.
