The fourth of July couldn't have gone worse. Everything was great until this happened...

"Adrian put the gun down please. It doesn't have to be like this, just put the gun down I'm begging you." I pleaded tears rolling down my cheeks.

"SHUT UP! This prick took you away from me and there will be hell to pay for what he's done." Adrian's forehead was covered in sweat as he held the gun to the back of Roman's head.

Roman had this look in his eyes like he was about to make a move to disarm Adrian. I shook my head and pleaded with my eyes. Roman just smiled slightly and went for the gun.

I shut my eyes tightly when I heard a gunshot go off and Roman grunting. More tears streamed down my face as two more shots rang out. I tried so hard to open my eyes but I just could he the love of my life like this. I heard a body hit the ground and I feared for the worst.

12 Hours Earlier...

"Hey, me and Damien are gonna go to store and get some fireworks and some meat for the cookout tonight. Would you like to join us?" Emilio asked mumbling the last part.

"I would love to join you guys. Seeing as Roman left to do more Alpha duties. And I still don't think his egos recovered from last week's prank. I've got nothing better to do."

I pushed Emilio out of the doorway and closed the door. I really did feel like getting dressed up just to go to the store so I threw on my Rouge One Star Wars shirt and a pair of ripped jeans before heading downstairs.

Emilio and Damien were in the kitchen raiding the fridge.

"Seriously guys? Now we're gonna have to restock the fridge too." I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Let's go." I said.

We all waked outside to a blue 2017 Silverado 1500 as Emilio unlocked the trucks door with his key fob.

"You know what they say about guys with big trucks." I joked.

Damien smiled and made a weird noise.

"Woah. That's the first thing I've heard you say." I said shocked.

"Shit bro, it's been what...ten years sense the last time you made a sound." Emilio said smiling.

"That's progress bro." Emilio added as he hugged Damien.

"Aww you guys are so adorable. But enough bromance we have fireworks to buy."

We all got in the car, Emilio driving and Damien riding shotgun. After putting our seatbelts on we drove to Target.

"Remind me again why our territory is so far away from civilization?" I asked rolling my eyes.

Seriously though, we were probably like an hour and a half away from the city and it was pissing me off. Sitting in a car for that long is not good for proper circulation.

"Chill out Bella. Us guys" he motioned between himself and Damien, "don't need to hear your constant complaining. Man, I really wish my truck was built like taxi."

"Why?"

"So I could close the divider between the front and the backseats and not hear a peep out of you." He said bitterly.

I leaned back in my seat and crossed my arms. "Jackass." I mumbled.

"I heard that." He said as his eyes looked into the rear-view mirror to glare at me.

"Good." I replied.

I grabbed a red cart and wheeled it towards Emilio and Damien.
