Underneath The Willow

Under a weaping willow

she sits,

awaiting the arival

of the one she used to love.

Forgoten and alone

she cried out to him,

asking him here today

to this place so dear to her heart.

 He nears her

all her fears disapear,

she sees his face

and asks for forgivness.

He tells her not to worry,

he can be her shoulder to cry on

he shall never leave again

fore she will always have his heart.

Weeks later

she finds she is on death's list

not to see another year,

again she calls to him.

Once more they sit

awakened by the chill

of a cool autmns day

she realizes this is the time.

For a kiss

she leans in,

asking to be his once more,

to forever lie in his arms.

And with her last breath

whispers I love you,

I love you passes his lips,

as he watches her go, goodbye.
