- Eleanor's POV -

Flurries of pink flower pedals were scattered around the feet of a young girl, no older than nineteen. Rows of cherry blossom trees went for as far as her eye could see and in the distance a white palace sat upon a hill, the sun setting behind the temple and casting a glow into the summer sky. The girl was relatively small with dark hair that rested in curls a little past her shoulders and hazel eyes that took in her surroundings with the uttermost curiosity. She laughed gleefully and twirled where she stood, her white dress billowing outwards with her actions. Pedals fell from the trees and when she held her hands out she caught them in her palms but they slipped through her fingers like sand. She did not realize when a hooded figure stepped into the clearing but the stranger was no enemy to the girl, no she had come with no intention of harm. When she stopped twirling she turned towards the figure and jumped in fright but the hooded person reached out a hand as a gentle persuasion to bring her closer. The girl timidly stepped forward to accept the offer but a loud and repetitive beeping disrupted the scene.  The image around the girl soon faded into nothingness and she woke with a start, lurching forward in her bed.

Eleanor groaned when she realized it was all just a dream and she had not vanished to some faraway kingdom but instead was still in her bedroom, away from the excitement of mystical castles and mysterious people. Her alarm clock was screaming angrily on her nightstand so she reached over and hastily silenced the device. When she rubbed her eyes and sat up she met with a familiar setting. Light pink walls. When her roommate had asked her what color she had wanted to paint her room that was immediately her answer, light pink because in Eleanor's opinion, it was the prettiest color in the entire spectrum of all colors. White shelves displayed various toys and small stuffed animals she had gotten throughout the years, although her favorite currently sat right besides her on the bed. It was a brown teddy bear with welcoming warm eyes and long arms that were absolutely perfect for hugs. Eleanor grinned immediately when she saw him and scooped the bear up into her grasp, holding the toy close to her chest.

" Good morning, Mr.Bear!" Elle sung happily, though a grogginess still hung heavy in her voice.

She smiled greatly at his silent reply and kissed him on the nose before placing him on her pillow and rushing to the washroom. Work was always her least favorite part of the day, costumers were often grueling and she was only friends with a scarce number of her coworkers. Many of the people she worked with enjoyed using her as the topic of their jokes, she was the smallest and the youngest of the lot of them and therefore the easiest target to their games. If there was another way, she would have quit months prior but tuition was expensive and rent was the same so she was forced to remain where she was, making cups of coffee and mopping floors. When she got into the washroom she took a quick shower that involved a short karaoke session to every single princess song she could remember, which was practically all of them. When she stepped out she french-braided her hair into two pigtails and pulled on her uniform, which was nothing exciting. Her uniform consisted of a simple pair of blue jeans and a white button up shirt, along with a pale blue apron that often homed the spare change that Eleanor always seemed to lose. She hastily put on some eyeliner and threw on her glasses before hurrying out of her bedroom down, not before grabbing her floral printed book bag and kissing Mr.Bear on the forehead.

The very second she hit the last step, her roommate appeared from his room on the first floor, tossing her a sideways glance.

" You're going to be late," he mused with a sleepy grin, treading towards the kitchen.

" Am not, Jesse!" Eleanor protested as she brushed past him, nearly knocking him over in the process.

She climbed onto the counter top to get her granola bars from the top shelf(she was never sure how they always managed to get up there, but she was certain elves were involved) and brushed past Jesse again as she skidded towards the door.
