Soulless at the Speed of Love

chapter 1: the lamp

I wake up to see that my lamp is off and alarm clock didn't sound. It came to my attention that the power might have gone out but as I get out of bed I look down to see my lamp unplugged and my alarm the same as my lamp. I think to myself "how did this happen unless someone purposely unplugged my lamp and alarm..but why?" As I think this to myself I hear of what sounds like a glass breaking. Surprised, I run down stairs to see my little sister, sarah dropped a glass of milk all over the floor and as a good brother I hurry to clean it up before my mom rushes down stairs and yells "What happened?!" I nervously get the last peice of glass and say to my mom,"it was me mom I accidently dropped the glass and I'm sorry " as I say this I give my little sister a wink that says"let me take the blame ". My mom approaches me madly and tells me "It's ok dear just be very careful next time ok?" I nod in response and get ready for school still wondering who unplugged my lamp and alarm clock.

I head out the door and get on the bus almost missing it and as I get on I get made fun up for almost missing the bus. Kids wouldn't stop chanting"Slow poke,Slow poke", I ignore them and sit in the back and listen to my music peacefully as I notice a Girl across from me,sitting and also listening to music. As I look at her she spots me before I can turn away and act like nothing happened. The girl says in her quiet but cute voice "hello? I saw you looking at me do you need something max?". As I hear her a fall in love for a second until I realize she knows my name but I don't know her. I ask nervously "h-how do you know my n-name? ",She replies with the same cute voice "o-oh well everyone knows you hue hue ". I blush from her cute giggle but I stay calm and say to her "oh but never mind that w-what's your name?", She looks away blushing and hands me a note saying "Nat". I look at her saying "Nat huh? It has a nice ring to it I like that name " I say as any other love struck boy would say, [be honest fellas ] she looks at me blushing harder "y-you think so Senpi?", I reply feeling my heart beating from what she just called me "y-yes I do n-nat". As we daze into each other's eyes the bus stops and we get off,as she walks a item falls out of her bag. I nicely catch it  and is about to hand it to her until I see it's a  light bulb,but it's not any ordinary light bulb...its my lamp lightbulb....
