Hominiede got quick news of the way the Gobbowl match turned out the minute the group came out of the stadium.  As Hominiede followed everyone onto the boat that Ruel had just purchased (or at least that's what they all said),  she got an earful from Yugo about every little detail. However, she made it a note to look at Az at least once every few seconds. They both knew that they had just left in a dangerous way: with no information about Elahra and Pompiene.

Hominiede half-listened to the rest of the story and watched it being preformed by a very animated Yugo, who, as he said, was put into the game "just as all hope seemed lost".  She giggled as he ran around the ship, pretending he was back on the field and, unfortunately for the poor tofu, Yugo used Az as a pretend ball as he re-scored his winning goal from earlier today. After that, he mimicked the crowd of screaming fans, legitimately looking like he was back at the stadium.

"Sounds like you really had a fun time Yugo." She said with a smile.

Ruel, who had overheard their conversation poked out his chest and stated proudly, "I taught him everything he knows."

"I find that hard to believe." She answered smugly.

"Believe it or not he did." Evangeline said.

"Really?" She asked.

Yugo nodded and smiled. "He really did! And he brought us to victory!"

Hominiede leaned back, closed her eyes, and let the salty air blow her hair behind her. She wanted to relax, but she couldn't. Not with the thought of being closer and closer to finding her father. Not while knowing that Elahra and Pompiene had no clue that she and her friends had left the city. When she opened her green eyes, Yugo had gone from standing in front of her, to up at the top of the ship, serving as a lookout. Now was a pretty good opportunity. She looked on deck for Az. The poor bird was still laying in the same position it was when Yugo scored his winning goal yet again. The tofu slowly got back up and flew to her.

"You know what to do, buddy." She whispered quietly. "You need to find either Elahra or Pompiene and tell them we've left on a course for Oma Island. Can you do that without being seen?"

Az gave her a winged salute and flew off into the horizon. Hominiede tried closing her eyes again to relax, and again it failed. thoughts of the worst kind buzzed around in her head. 'What if he's dead? What if he's being tortured right now? Has Rushu made him a slave? Will he even be there when I get to Oma Island?' She opened up the little black leather book that Master Inrade had given her. She had almost completely forgotten about it until now.

'Why in the world would you play a prank on the king of the shushu's, Dad?' She wondered as she scanned the pages. 'Didn't you think that was going to come back to bite you?' Her eyes moved up and down the columns of names, locations, and shushus alike. They were everywhere from Oma Island, to Bonta, to Wabbit Island, to Brakmaar, and even in the Pandawa village.

She read through the pages as they transitioned from a list of shushus and their owners to what looked to be a bit of a diary that belonged to her father. She raised her eyebrow. 'Why does this look like something Dad wrote? Didn't this belong to Master Inrade?'

Hominiede silently read each entry and became more and more engrossed by her father's mischievous little adventures as he traveled. He had been everywhere. He had met the Cra Matriarch before, he'd been to the Pandawa village, and he had seen many a gobbowl game in many different cities. She had been looking over each journal entry until she reached the last one in the book: the one where she would finally get answers about what her father did to upset King Rushu so much. Hominiede was on the edge of her seat as she read how her father had taken a dare to slander Rushu's very name. He was quite a vain king after all, so he made sure not to let an act like that go unpunished. According to the entry, which he had apparently wrote while in hiding, not long after he slung his last insult to Rushu, the ground began to shake and he had already known that that was his cue to leave. He had rushed to a nearby cave that he knew of in the woods to write the entry and hide from Rushu long enough to gain the courage to fight him off (he knew the self-centered demon king would come alone).

The next thing she read made her sadly question her own father's intellect. She quickly scanned over the entry, trying to get to the most exciting part. She read that her father had taken his two shushus with him and ran out to try and fight King Rushu himself. At this Hominiede couldn't help but shake her head. 'Oh, father!' She thought. 'I know you were only a teenager at the time, but come on! Why would you try fighting the King of All Shushus with only two of his own subjects? Where was your logic?' She was amazed to read later that, he was able to find his father, tell him what was happening and get himself out of there. Before doing so however, he had given his journal to Inrade, an old friend of his father's.

Hominiede scratched her head. 'Why in the world would Rushu, being the way he is, let my father go for so many years before finally enslaving him? (assuming that he is in fact enslaved) It just doesn't make sense, unless he had some higher motive and just took my father as some sort of a trophy. If that's the case, then what exactly is his reason behind it all?'

She felt something hit her face and she jumped. It was Az. And he had something in his beak. A piece of paper. She took it from it and saw that it was a note.

Hominiede,

We both got your message. We're headed to Oma island now and will meet you there as soon as possible. We'll let you know of any delays, extra information of your father's disappearance, or anything else you need to be informed of.

Elahrah

Hominiede nodded and leaned back into the breeze. Even though she couldn't fully relax, knowing that king Rushu had some higher motive that didn't really involve her father at all and she still had questions, she could still rest pretty easy knowing that at least two of her allies knew where she was going and could be with her when she got there. It felt good to her to have people she could trust.
