Percy

"Percy, we can't do that." Harry argued with me.

I looked at him incredulously,"Of course we can."

"Percy, I'm with them. It seems impossible." Vaisey supported the Trio, squeezing my hand.

I rolled my eyes,"You guys have no faith in me."

"It's not the matter of trust we have in you, Percy." Hermione lectured,"Its the probability of this working."

I raised my hands, exasperated,"I'm positive it'll work out."

"Bloody hell, mate!" Ron exclaimed,"There's no way you can hide a dragon at Hogwarts!"

This has been going on the entire trip. It started after we landed for a break, and the dragon made us a fire to keep us warm. I wanted to keep her, and bring her with us to battle. The problem was being subtle until we found what we needed. They didn't believe I could conceal her, but I had some tricks up my sleeve that they didn't know about.

That, and she made me feel powerful again. The dragon made me feel more in control of my actions, and not vulnerable. I hated being at others mercy, and for over half a year I was at someone's mercy. I don't want that again. One of the reasons I fought so valiantly for her presence. She also took a liking to me, and I didn't have the heart to send her away.

We were less than an hour from the castle now. When we were within sight view, we had to drop to the ground. I had won the argument, despite everyone against me. They knew they couldn't stop me, so it was a pointless conversation. It was dark out, so the white of the dragon was practically a flare. Everyone looked at me pointedly, to make her disappear.

Rolling my eyes, I put a palm on her snout to reassure her. Her eyes held a deep trust that made me smile. Closing my eyes, I cast two spells. Ignoring the gasps, I picked up the shrunken dragon that was blending in with all the colors around it. Unseen, and portable. I let her crawl onto the vacant spot on my shoulder.

"Lets go." I ordered the group, holding out my hand for them to take.

"What are we doing?" Vaisey questioned me, amazement still in his eyes.

I fought down the blush of embarrassment,"I'm apparating us to Hogsmeade."

They all reached for my hand. Before they made contact, a spell shot us apart. I flew into a tree, breaking through it. When my vision cleared, we were all scattered and surrounded by death eaters. I cursed, and ran to Vaisey who was slumped against a rock.

"Percy, watch out!" Harry screamed at me.

I looked up in time to dodge a stunning spell. I rolled to the side, sending back a harmful spell myself. No one looked hurt except for Vaisey. I tried to make my way to him again after disposing of the attacker, but was immediately intercepted by four of Voldemort's followers.

"Percy, come on!" Hermione shouted at me.

I turned my head just enough to see them run,"No. Vaisey."

"We have to leave him!" Harry's fading voice answered.

I narrowed my eyes. As if. Calling upon my mother's and father's powers, I let it rip. Thrusting my hands out, water deep below the earth sprout up like a geyser, taking many by surprise. I commanded the water to make a slide for the three to ride until they reached Hogsmeade after knocking the death eaters back.

Once they were gone, I turned back in time to have a knife thrusted towards my gut. I barely moved in time. I sent a stunning spell at the two trying to drag Vaisey away, and ducked under the next strike of the blade. As the arm passed my head, I grabbed the wrist holding the blade, and twisted it.

Turning the man attacking me around, I pulled their arm behind them and pinned it in the center of their back. I kicked out their feet, calling another wave of water to block the death eaters chasing after Harry, Ron, and Hermione. My attacker hit the ground, and I knelt on his thighs to keep him from rising again.

"STOP!" A voice commanded.

I froze as I saw a wand against Vaisey's jugular. He was still unconscious as his life was threatened. I followed the wand arm until it connected with a body. My eyes rose until I faced the pale, noseless, face of Voldemort. I snarled at him, pushing the arm I held captive up until I heard cracks to get my point across.

"Move again, Jackson. I dare you." Voldemort taunted.

I narrowed my eyes on his wand. My silent disarming charm worked, and the next second, his wand was flying towards me. Using my left arm, I held it up until the elder wand fell in my fingertips. I twisted it mockingly in my hand, chuckling darkly.

"You have no idea who you messed with." I sneered at the people surrounding me.

Voldemort laughed madly at me,"You? I am the most powerful wizard to ever walk life and death. Pray, what arrogant teenager did I mess with?"

I glared at him, ignoring his jibe,"Someone who's survived the Styx."

I let go of the body underneath me, backflipping to kick the witch sneaking up behind me. My feet landed next to her head as she lay unconscious. Summoning the water back, I slapped away half of Voldemort's army, and drenching them to the core. I used the summoning spell to bring Vaisey to me.

Catching him in my left arm, I turned on my heel, and ran as fast as I could to the castle. I could fight, just not with Vaisey. Maybe if he was awake, but without his presence, I was a guard dog with a leash.

I forced gallons of water to encircle my boyfriend and I as we ran. I felt my lungs tiring from their first use in awhile. Tiny wings hit me in the ear, reminding me of the dragon I had. I patted her head reassuringly, but now wasn't the time to reveal her presence.

I gestured for the pocket inside my jacket, so she remained a surprise. I saw the town in the distance, and waved my hand to get rid of the energy consuming liquid around me. It disappeared back into the ground, save the part that formed as a wall behind me. I knew I couldn't apparate into Hogsmeade without sending off an alarm and giving my location.

I actually planned on vapor traveling us all, but telling them it was appartating. After that small battle, I didn't have the energy to transfer us both to the town, so I was stuck with running. I heard a large bang behind me and turned to see Voldemort's followers using fire from their wands to break the ice I made. Turning again, I ran faster.

"Perseus Black." A woman's voice drawled once I hit the silent street of Hogsmeade.

I cursed, and fell back to avoid crashing into the Professor in front of me. I almost fell with the added weight of Vaisey, but was pulled to my feet by the surprisingly strong woman. Without a word, she herded me into the castle.

Wordlessly, I followed her. I was surprised when I saw all the students of the school being corroded into the Great Hall. I didn't see Harry anywhere, but Snape was at the front looking as how he was supposed to. I had to give it to him, he was a good actor.

Everyone was standing in orderly groups according to their house, and were as silent as an abandoned warehouse. At the sound of Professor Mcgonagall's and my footsteps, all heads swiveled to face us. Severus' lips twitched, hiding the small smile I knew he had.

I looked him straight in the eyes, not hiding the command in my voice,"Leave."
