"What are we going to do? We have nothing!" he screamed furiously at his friend.
His hands were trembling and he could barely stand up. Even so, he glared at his friend as if he had all the energy in the world. His friend, equally weak, let out a sigh and sat down. Both of them knew it was hopeless to fight for their lives. They couldn't keep up any longer.
They were secluded from the life they have always known. Their supplies were getting lesser to nothing.
He looked at their sleeping group of friends all scattered on the floor of the cave. They were asleep. They had no energy left. Their skin were pale, lips were dry and their breath were short and quick.
"I'll...I'll go and look for something...," his friend offered.
"I don't think there's anything left out there...," he breathed. "Let's just wait until we die and rot in this stupid cave!"
"Minhyuk...,"
"I'm tired, Shownu. I'm tired of fighting against the impossible! They're winning. They've been winning since day 1!"
"Don't say that. We have fought hard. This is just a set back. We'll rise again and I promise you, we will earn victory!" his friend assured confidently.
Minhyuk let out another sigh and turned away from Shownu. Mihyuk gazed out at the forest that helps to keep them hidden from the destroyed city down the hill. No one dared to enter the forest as it's infested with poisonous plants and bugs. The boys somehow managed to survive through the obstacles. It took a few scars and sacrifices for them to live this long.
"I'll look for something," Shownu said and without waiting for Minhyuk's approval, he walked out of the cave with his back pack.
