The night was dark and cold. People were still out and about, but in a dark alley lied two girls. They were sisters. One girl’s name is Dark, the oldest sister. And they other sister’s name is Star, the youngest sister. Star had her head on Dark’s lap while Dark was watching people walk by. She could hear her younger sister’s stomach growling. So, she gently takes Star further in the alley, just to be safe, goes looking for food.

Dark walks into a store and steals as much food she could carry to get back to Star. She makes a run for it after she is done getting what she wants, but the clerk stops her. He said, "You have to pay for that." Dark looks at him and replies, "I don’t have the money to pay for it."

"Then I can’t let you leave with those items." The Clerk grabs the items from Dark, but she pulls back with her hands clinging onto the products. “Quit it!”

"NO!" And with those words, Dark sets the clerk on fire. One of the Sakamaki Brothers, Laito, sees this. He was out on one of those late night strolls and decided to hang around at a store. Seeing the chaos, he walks over to Dark and gives her 100 dollars while saying, "Here you are, little girl~ If you want to buy something, use this next time." He winks at her.

Dark nods at him quickly, saying thank you, before running off back to her sister. Star is still lying on the cold ground in the alley. Dark returns and sets every item down in front of her. “Here, eat sister.” Dark tells her youngest sibling. Star opens her eyes and begins to eat.

Meanwhile back at the store, the clerk continues to scream in agony because he is still up in flames. With just one look, Latio extinguishes the flames.”There you are.” His twin brother, Ayato, walks over to him. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere. What the hell are you up to?” Ayato demanded to know right away. “Oh nothing.” Laito smirks. “I was enjoying the show, watching this little girl who set this clerk on fire just by saying one word: ‘No!’.”

“Was she a vampire?” Ayato asked. Laito shrugged his shoulders, letting his twin brother know that he wasn’t sure. “I say we look for this little fire starter, hm?~” Laito smirks once again. “Fine, whatever.” Ayato rolls his eyes and goes with his brother to search for Dark. Luckily, Laito knew where she had ran off to.

Back in the alley, Star eats the meals that her sister got for her. “How was stealing the food this time?” She asked. Dark shook her head in response, telling Star that she rather not talk about it. Star understood and leaned on her sister while giving her a piece of her sandwich. “Here… You should eat too.”

“No. You need way more than I do. Besides, I’m not hungry.” Dark yawns. “There she is.” The two sisters turn their heads at the end of the alley and Dark gasped. Both Laito and Ayato were standing there, looking at the two girls. “That’s the girl? She’s just a kid.” Ayato scoffed in disbelief. “I know~” Laito purrs. “Hey kid, how did start that fire back there in the store?” Ayato asked Dark.

She frowns a bit and turns her head away from them. “I don’t know what you’re talking about…”

She whispered. “Aw~ No need to be shy. It’s alright. You can tell us. We won’t tell anyone. My name is Laito Sakamaki and this is my brother, Ayato.” The perverted vampire introduces themselves.

“It’s nice to meet you both…” Dark starts off. “I’m Dark and this is my little sister, Star…..I didn’t mean to burn that man, I swear! He was yelling at me and I lost control over myself…”

“No need to worry about him. He’s okay now.”

“So what’s the deal? Are you two witches or something?” Ayato asks the girls. “We don’t know to be honest…” Star answered. “We don’t know how to control it.” Said Dark.

“Is starting fires all you can do, Dark?” Asked Ayato.

“I don’t know…”

“They are children, Ayato. Which means they don’t know much.” Laito chuckles out loud. “After all, they are homeless and have nowhere else to go. I say we should take them home with us.”

“What? Reiji isn’t going to like this. But fine. If you get in trouble, it’s not my fault, tch.” Ayato crosses his arms and turns his head away. Laito walks closer to the girls and kneels in front of them. “So girls, do you want to come home with us? If you do, then we will help you control your special gifts you have and we will take good care of you~” The sisters look at each other before nodding to themselves and stand up from the ground. “Very good. Come along, now.” Laito walks with them with Ayato following.
