Wonders Happening Around Him

"What?" Angelina sniffled.

"Dance for me." Dennis repeated. The girl suddenly felt so self conscious in front of him and tried to pull down her skirt, but it was so tight that it didn't budge. She wrapped her arms over her breasts, but that didn't cover anything.

"What are you trying to cover? You're almost practically exposed." Dennis told the girl, getting irritated.

Angelina sniffed again and wrapped her arms around herself tighter. "Please, don't. Just let us go. We won't tell. Promise." Dennis rolled his eyes and leaned forward in his chair.

"And I'm supposed to believe an impure like you?" He sneered

. Angelina didn't understand what he meant or why he hated her so much. She was about to beg again when she saw the tip of the keys hanging out of Dennis's pants pocket. If she could distract him, take the keys, then catch him off guard, she had a chance of escaping.

Angelina wiped away another falling tear and moved her arms away from her chest. She felt unnerved as she watched the man's eyes check her out. It took all she had not to shudder and vomit in front of him. "Okay." She said. Dennis sat back and waited for her to start.

"Dennis, don't. You were doing so well." Patricia scolded him. Dennis was going to answer when the Beast spoke over him.

"Oh, let him have his fun. She's going to die anyway." Dennis turned his attention back on the girl and the Beast put up a barrier between Dennis and the other personalities so he could talk to Patricia.

"He had been doing well. I don't think we should encourage this kind of behavior." Patricia felt disappointed that all of Dennis's hard work was now going down the drain as he watched a skimpy girl parade her private parts in front of him.

"Oh, come on, Patricia. It's been a stressful few months for us all. He's hurting and this is his coping mechanism. We all have one."

He was right. Patricia was feeling the loss of Casey and the news about her being pregnant and alone hurt Patricia even more. "We've all found ways to deal with the pain." The Beast said. Patricia felt like that last part was directed at her.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She said defensibly.

After a moment, the Beast confronted her. "I know about your meetings with Kevin. I know how you try and wake him up."

Patricia was caught off guard. She didn't think anyone besides Dennis knew about that. "How did you know about that?" She asked, the fear starting to bubble in her chest.

"I know everything that goes on in my body. Especially when it comes to Kevin."

Patricia felt like she should have known that the Beast would keep tabs on Kevin. This was the first time she ever felt frightened of the Beast. "Are you doubting my commitment to our mission? Because I never meant to do that. I just..... miss him. Losing Casey brought back that pain." Patricia was glad she didn't have the light because if she did, there was no doubt in her mind that she wouldn't have started to tear up a bit.

"I never doubted it once. You visit Kevin to deal with your pain, Dennis watches young girls dance, and Hedwig is too young to understand what is going on. You do what you must." The Beast could sense Patricia calm down as she learned he wasn't going to punish her. He never meant to scare her, but it was nice to know the other personalities still feared him.

"So can I still visit Kevin?" Patricia asked to be on the safe side. She did not want to be on the Beast's bad side. He could exile her from the Horde and keep her trapped in that room.

"You may. Just don't let him take the light. For his sake. He won't be able to grasp the wonders that are happening around him." Patricia smiled to herself and agreed.

"Now, let's give Dennis some personal time." The Beast told her, slowly disappearing back to the train yard.

"Wait!" Patricia called out to him. "How do you cope with your pain? You must feel the hurt of Casey's absence and your child's."

The Beast didn't answer for so long that Patricia didn't think he would. "I don't. I force myself to feel the pain every second I'm awake."

And with that, he was gone. Patricia went back to the room and sat in her chair. Hedwig was having a blast by himself and the others were just there. Patricia felt bad for the Beast and for Casey. And only one thing would make her feel better right now.

"In the sun, we will find our passion. In the sun we will find our purpose." Patricia said to herself, followed by Jade's screaming.

Dennis didn't hear the personalities. He was so focused on the girl in front of him. How her curves moved to the music in her head. How she kept getting closer and closer to him until she sat in his lap. Dennis knew he should push her off, get some distance between them, but he didn't move. He didn't want to move. He wanted this girl- on the bed, on the floor, on the chair.

"You're so tense. I bet I could fix that." She told him seductively. And Dennis was going to let her. But as her hand moved down his pants he had a picture of Casey shot into his head. It wasn't a dirty picture of her, just one of her at the hotel office. That picture only lasted a few seconds, but it was enough to bring back the hurt he felt. Dennis jerked up, causing Angelina and Dennis's keys to go flying to the ground.

Dennis looked down at her and his keys and his eyes filled with rage. "You bitch." He said, the anger clear in his voice. "You were going to escape. And you were using me to do so." His heart began pounding faster as he watched the girl stare at him wide eyed. Angelina eyes flashed to where the keys laid a few feet away from her. She thought she had a chance to reach them before he did.

"You better not." Dennis warned her. Angelina thought she had a shot. So she took it. Angelina darted for the keys and Dennis darted for her. Angelina was inches away from grabbing the keys in her hands when a force pulled her back by her hair and slammed her skull into the hard ground.

The impact of her skull against the ground dazed Angelina for a minute. And that moment was all Dennis needed to make sure Angelina wasn't going to disobey him again.

Elizabeth pulled away from the door when she heard the loud footsteps headed directly towards her. She crawled far enough away from the door so the man on the other side could open it completely. And when he did, he wasn't the same neat man who locked her in the bathroom.
This man was disheveled and covered in blood.
