It was morning and Billie was sitting in the principal's office with his mother. Billie was complete zoned out and he had no intention to listen to what they were saying. He was deep in his thoughts thinking if he should end his life or if he should stay alive. He thought about writing more music and thought about what the next album should be."Billie" Mrs. Freeman said making Billie snap out of his thoughts. He looked at the principal and his mother. Both of them had concerning and stern looks.
"Billie, we want to know what's wrong. Your GPA is at a 0.7. You don't have enough credits to graduate. You're constantly not attending class. But when you do, you're not participating, you're not paying attention. You're not turning in your homework or school work. You have been suspended more than eighteen times. And you've been getting into fights. So what's going on?" Mrs. Freeman asked. Billie didn't reply. He didn't care what they were saying. He didn't care if they were concern about him. All he cared about was that if he would make it to 21.
"Billie, we're giving you a second cha-" Mrs. Freeman was cut off by Billie. He looked at them.
"I wanna drop out" he said. Mrs. Freeman and his mother were shocked to his response.
"Billie-" Mrs. Freeman was cut off again.
"It's obvious that I won't graduate and even if I take that second chance I won't graduate. I can't do school anymore. So I wanna drop out. I give up in this school. This school sucked either way" Billie said. And like that he got up and left. Billie was giving no shits about anything anymore. He couldn't feel anything. He was done. He was done with school and with life.
Billie was in his room packing for the tour. He was getting ready for the world to be honest. For the days left of his life, he was getting ready. He was getting ready to face death as well. He just didn't show it to anyone. No one knew about his plan. His mother had no clue, his siblings couldn't possibly care. His best friends would care but they didn't seem to see any signs of a suicidal person.
When Billie was finished, he decided to call up his manager. He called him and told him that he had dropped out and that they can start touring early. So his manager, Pat, told Billie that he would call Tre and Mike to get their things ready. Like that Billie ended the call and sat on his bed. He had his suitcase and his guitar ready.
Billie, Billie, Billie. You are one big failure.
Leave me alone.
You're so stupid. It's a good thing you dropped out. Your teachers could finally rest from teaching an idiot.
But what about your mom, she thinks you're stupid. Really stupid.
Leave me alone.
She thinks you're a failure! You've failed her!
"I SAID TO LEAVE ME ALONE!" Billie yelled. The voices stopped and he had his hands grabbing his hair. Everything became quiet and Billie could hear his own heartbeat.
Billie got up from his bed and he grabbed his suitcase and left his room. He went down to the living room and saw his mother there. She sat in the couch and she was looking at pictures. Billie sat down next to her and he saw all of his baby pictures. "Your father would've been proud of you" she said.
"I know he would" Billie said softly. "But I think he'd be upset that I dropped out y'know"
Billie's mother sighed and grabbed his hand. She kissed it and gave Billie a small smile. "He wouldn't. Billie, do me a favor, be safe for me okay. I want my baby boy coming home for the holidays okay"
Billie nodded his head and kissed his mother goodbye. Billie walked out of his house and he went inside the limo that was waiting for him. Billie sighed and looked out the window. He saw his childhood home get smaller and smaller. He was leaving the home where all the pain and suffering happened to him. He was leaving the home that his father lived in. Everything that Billie had was in that house. The memories and the pain.
