"Not so great at mythomagic, are you, huh?" Nico said smugly.
"I thought Artemis had 350 power points!" Frank retorted.
"No! It has 347, anybody knows that!"
"Well, uh..." Frank, clearly flustered, suddenly morphed into a small, pink creature with black beady eyes.
Laughing hysterically, Nico sputtered between guffaws, "You're a...a shrimp!"
Frank the Shrimp was thrashing wildly on the ground, clearly desperate for water.
Finally, ceasing his laughter and realizing Frank the Shrimp's dire need for water, he placed Frank the Shrimp on the kitchen table and said, "Hold on, I'll be right back!"
While searching for a tank of water, Hazel walked into the kitchen where Frank the Shrimp had gone into shock and stopped thrashing.
"Nico? Frank? I thought I heard yelling in here..." Surveying the empty room, she muttered, "Hmm, I guess they left."
Suddenly, her eyes fell on the scrumptious crustacean, limp and vulnerable, lying in the table top.
Not knowing the true identity of the shrimp, she eagerly snatched Frank the Shrimp by his plump fuchsia tail and devoured him in a single bite.
"Delicious!" Hazel chirped as she strutted out of the room.
Minutes later, Nico hurried back to the kitchen, armed with a tank of clear water.
"Frank?" he asked. "Where are you?!"
Nico, like a tornado, nearly destroyed the kitchen in search of Frank.
"FRANK?!" he panicked, "FRANK!"
Hazel sprinted into the kitchen.
"What's wrong? Where's Frank?" she questioned.
"I don't know," Nico replied, suddenly eyeing Hazel skeptically. "Did you happen to see a shrimp on the table?"
"Yes, it was great," she gushed, "Are there any more in the fridge?"
Nico, his face more ashen then when he returned from Tartarus years ago, stared at Hazel with his mouth open wide.
As their eyes spoke grief in a way words cannot describe, the dark realization encompassed Hazel's soul.
"It was Frank, wasn't it?" Hazel whimpered barely above a whisper.
Grabbing Hazel by the shoulders and shaking her from side-to-side, Nico yelled, "DID. YOU. CHEW. AND. SWALLOW?!?!"
Hazel nodded, unable to speak.
Nico shook his head, and the message was clear: Frank was no more.
