Percy
"I'm sorry for your loss, Percy." Hermes apologized to me.
I shrugged his hand off my shoulder, turning away. They fixed the castle, telling everyone it was magic. Harry managed to fix his broken wand by using the elder one. It did belong to him because before I disarmed Voldemort, it belonged to Harry from the Malfoy Manor. Now we were all heading home.
Harry was coming with Sirius and I, but I was going back to America, after I returned my stuff to Sirius' house, to bring the news to Vaisey's father. Sirius offered to do it, but I couldn't let him. It was my fault for not reacting fast enough, so it was my duty to tell his father. Apollo got in my way, making me run into him.
At the same time I tried to recoil, but I tripped and fell. Apollo reached to grab my arm, but he missed because it wasn't there anymore. I hit the ground hard, groaning. My cousins quickly hauled me to my feet, fretting over me. I pushed past them, almost falling again, not used to having more weight on one side of my body.
I cursed and stumbled past them. I swiftly made my way through the crowd of celebrating people getting off the train. I needed time alone to think, so I didn't leave with Harry and Sirius. I grabbed my stuff, and found my way to the city.
I entered the underground subway. I needed to get out of London and to where Grimmauld Place was. I trudged down the stairs to find my train. Following the colored lines appropriately, I followed the hallways to my train. I stood next to the rails, looking down on them, waiting for it to come. I tapped my thigh, leaning against the concrete pole.
Suddenly I was rammed harshly in my side. I spun around, the dead weight of my one arm twirling me around. I lost my balance, and ended up falling, but I fell longer than I expected. I cried out when I felt my ankle twist at an odd angle. My whole world flipped, and when it righted itself, I was a lot farther below the ground than I should've been.
I heard people screaming at me, reaching their hands out. I heard the faint roar of the subway on the tracks as it came near. I quickly hopped to my feet, ignoring the dull throbbing in my ankle. I stumbled from the balance difference, wishing I had both my arms.
It was high, so I jumped and offered my right hand for them to grab. Only I couldn't jump high enough with my ankle doing its crappy thing. I was able to grab something, but I didn't have another arm to hoist myself high enough to reach the hands desperately trying to touch mine. The screams and roaring grew louder, and I started hyperventilating.
I didn't have the limb I needed to get myself to safety. Stupid ankle I reprimanded. The roaring filled my ears, and there were dozens of people screaming at me to jump again or try to use my amputated arm. Like that would help I snorted. I held my breath, trying to reign in my panic as I heard the train enter the station.
Suddenly someone was pushing me higher towards the hands. I felt so many hands latch onto my clothes and limbs, lugging me to the safety of the platform. The person who pushed me up managed to heave them self over the edge just as the train trudged by.
I got multiple pats on the back, and people kept trying to soothe me. I heard mentions of people calling the ambulance, and before I could protest, I was forced to lie down. My stuff, which amazingly wasn't stolen in my three minutes of fame was set beside me, and a shock blanket, wherever they got that, was thrown hazardously over me.
I thanked them all graciously, looking for my main savior. I was pushed onto my back, and I had to squint because of the light shining in my eyes. Then a face appeared over mine, and I lost my breath. Hair darker than night, a golden tan kissing their skin, with eyes a mix of cerulean and electric blue knelt above me.
"Vaisey." I breathed, okay I was hallucinating.
A charming smile crossed his face as he nodded,"Your uncle said he owed you a favor, along with your two cousins and father who pressured him."
"Thank you, Hades." I whispered.
The smile continued to grace his lips,"I told you, I'll protect you."
Happy tears poured out of my eyes as I reached up to cup the his cheek. He continued to smile at me, putting his hand behind my neck, lifting my head up. Slowly his body came closer to me. Then his soft lips captured mine is a sweet, chaste kiss.
"Oh gods, I love you." I gasped.
He pulled away from me, gently wiping the small tears from the side of my face. People were still shouting around me, and I saw the colors of people from the ambulance rapidly approaching us. A pathway was made for them, and I saw them haul my stuff into the bottom of the bed thing.
I was manhandled, and strapped to the uncomfortable white thing. They kept putting blankets on me despite the temperature, but Vaisey's hand never left mine. I could only stare at him like he was the light to my world of darkness, which he was.
I didn't hear anything around me. I felt the movement as we raced through the underground subway station. I could only focus on Vaisey's smiling, slowly tiring from the run, face. My vision was tunneled on him, and I saw his soft his perfect lips moving around his pearly white teeth.
"I love you too, Percy."
Tell me what you think...
