My stuff is already packed. My permission slip is turned in and I'm pretty much ready for this retreat. I'm staying at a campground the school chose for five days. They have tons of cabins that will house two people. Me and Sabrina got a cabin together.
5:30 a.m.
I get up, out of bed, and start getting ready. The reason I'm waking up so early is that the students can all get on the buses in time.
5:37 a.m. "hey it's Colby, do you wanna a ride to the school?"
The boy that took my first freakin kiss, while I was drunk, texts me wanting to know if I need a ride.
No, I don't.
5:38 a.m. yeah, thanks.
I roll my eyes at how stupid I am then I start getting ready.
I'm wearing a pastel pink sweatshirt with a pair of grey jeans, slightly ripped, and my pastel pink converse. In my bag, I have six pairs of clothes, two extra pairs and five pairs of clothes to sleep in. The extra colthes are for the color run. Sabrina is bringing me a swimsuit because I don't own one. I know, I know. I'm fifteen and don't own a swimsuit, sue me. I'm only bringing my regular brown leather bag, only it's filled with clothes and other stuff. Also another little bag for my shoes.
___
"Hey." Alya and I get into Colby's car.
"Hey. You do know the retreat's today, right?" He looks at my two bags.
"Yeah. I'm not like every other girl who packs their whole closet." I smile and he puts the car in drive.
He drops off Alya and I tell her bye, but for the next five days I'll be gone.
___
"You ready?" He looks at me as we're on the steps of the school.
"Yeah, I guess. You've been to a retreat before, tell me what it's really like."
"Fun. Hot. Amazing." He nods." You'll like it."
___
I meet up with Sabrina, who has like seven bags.
"The retreat is today. Where's your stuff?!"
Sabrina starts looking around me, fear in her eyes.
"Right here." I hold up my two bags.
"Where's your towels?"
"The cabin provides that, along with a clothes rack for the ladies." I smile at her, and she laughs.
"This week's gonna be great." Sabrina says.
"Okay students. Buses will begin loading at eight o'clock sharp so don't be late. And unless you're traveling lightly, put your things on the trailer. I hope you guys have fun, and have a great week."
Sabrina and head to the trailer by the buses. She puts her bags on the trailer and I check the time.
7:58 a.m.
"Hey let's grab our seats. I'll put my bags in the seats we want. So which one." I start walking to the bus and Sabrina just stands there.
"Seat number twenty- two."
"Okay?" Dang, she knows these buses really well. I place my bags in that seat and notice some familiar bags across from the seat.
Where have I seen that bag?
