Four Moons Later ~~~~
Today was the day me and Birch will finally become trainees!
"Let all birds who can fly come gather around!" My father Dasher called out.
"Birch its time!" I squealed.
"Time for what?" He asked.
"Our trainee ceremony you flybrain!" I chirped
Birch immediately fly to the gathering tree. "OUR CEREMONY!" He squawked.
Rain flew over to us. "I'm so proud of you two. I hope Dasher will choose good mentors for you." Said Rain.
"Our flock now has two more trainees! Birch and Storm come over here." Dasher called out.
Me and Birch flew to the leader's branch. "Birch, do you promise to follow the guardian code and protect the flock with your life?" Said Dasher.
"I do." Birch promised. "
"Then by the power of Star Bird your mentor shall be Gray." Dasher called.
"Storm, do you promise to follow the guardian code and protect the flock with your life?" Asked Dasher.
"I do." I chirped.
"Then by the power of Star Bird you mentor shall be..."
Then a voice interrupted Dasher.
"Air Swoop flock! ATTACK!!!" A horde of birds came down to camp and started attacking.
"Rain!" Me and Birch wailed.
"I'm coming!" Rain yelled.
But right when she was about to get to us a black bird with white stripes charged at her and pinned her to a tree.
" Rain!" Birch screeched.
He flew to Rain but was knocked over by a yellow bird with white stripes and soon hit the ground head first with a loud thump.
"Birch no!" I wailed.
I looked at Rain, she was trying to get free from her attacker's grip.
"You took everything from me Dasher! Now I will take everything from you!" The black bird with white stripes called.
I looked at Dasher who was pinned down by two birds, forced to watch of what was going on. Rain's attacker had knocked Rain out with a strong peck to the head and then let go of her.
"RAIN!" Dasher and I screeched.
There was nothing anyone could do, now that Rain had hit the ground with a thump that echoed through the camp.
The flock that attacked us had left. No one died except for two birds. Rain and Birch. Dasher told me that my mentor was Wind to try to make me happy but it didn't.
Rage and vengeance was boiling up inside me. "Rain and Birch I will avenge you! I will destroy the two birds that killed you!" I vowed.
