Traitor [HP Fanfiction]

Prologue

A woman with long dark brown hair gazed out the window as rain poured down, splattering against the window as they dropped.

She was sat in a cosy room, The window looked out onto Chelsea Crescent which was lined with white apartment houses as cars drove past without a second glance. Suddenly the door behind her opened and a man with neat brown hair stepped in looking damp.

"I've just dropped him off at School, John will be picking him up later" The man said cheerfully "Those I don't fully approve of sending him to a public school, We could homeschool him the ways of our magic"

The woman spun around, Tears budding in her eyes. "Daniel! I'm not proud of what we did and we're certainly not teaching the boy the error of our ways, Its out of the question!"

Daniels smile dropped and turned into a frown as he glared at her "Laura, We may of hurt a lot of people but it was so we could live this nice and peaceful life and now we've had our own little boy...!"

"At the cost of countless lives" She yelled "You're just okay with this? Living the easy life while familys mourn the losses that WE caused!"

Daniel was surprised at how distressed she was and slowly backed out the room without another word and shut the door gently behind him, Laura could hear his footsteps as he trundled down the stairs and went back to staring out the window.

Tears rolled down her face as she curled up her knees and hugged it tightly but just as she was about to let it all out, The door suddenly opened again and Daniel appeared with cups of warm teas.

He handed her a cup and slowly sipped his own and he too stared out the window and they both sat in complete silence, The only sound was slurping and cups being placed down as the rain grew even heavier.

Suddenly a figure appeared on the street out of the shadow of a distant lighting strike and Laura's cup slowly slipped out of her and shattered on impact of the floor.

Daniel stood up quickly with a worried look in his face and grabbed his wand out of his back pocket. 

"How did she find us?!" He yelped spinning around running towards the door "We need to put up defences, Hurry!"

They both ran downstairs, Wand in hand and started barricading the doors and windows and closing and locking doors as they made their way into the living room. They clenched each others hands and raised their wands as a massive explosion was heard and wood splintering against the walls.

The living room door creaked open and a man dressed in a red suit stepped in, He had completely blank white eyes and his stance was like a zombie as he raised his wand at the two.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US?!" Laura screamed "PLEASE JUST LEAVE!"

The man suddenly smirked and said with a hoarse voice "Its very simple what I want....I want to leave...!"

"Then leave you you twit!" Daniel yelled at him jabbing his wand in his direction

"You misunderstand me......... I want to leave...." The man licked his lips and tilted his head, showing his face to be completely insane " And you to die."

And at that moment everything slowed down.

Daniel lurched Laura out the way as the man sent a Sectumsempra out of his wand, Cutting across Daniel chest and blood flying everywhere across the room as he collapsed to the floor lifeless.

Laura screamed and raised her wand casting expelliarmus, The man simply dodged out the way and the smell bounced back in Laura and her wand went flying.

She collapsed to her knees begging him not to kill her but he merely smiled and pointed his wand directly at her face.

Laura Lazuli eyes widened as a green light shot off from the tip of the wand and felt her body go limp and lifeless as she flopped onto the floor, The man spun around and casted Reducto at the front of the house. 

The wall exploded outwards sending debris into car windows and fences, He laughed as he stepped out of the ruined house and spun around in the rain then apparated on the spot.

Daniel and Laura Lazuli lay lifeless inside the debris as a voice called out "Mum...? Dad...?"

Rain continued pouring down on Chelsea Crescent as two souls departed for the afterlife.
