don't kiss me, I wouldn't have a clue on what to do

Hey guys!

I'm finally updating this to tell you that I won't be finishing this little story. The reason behind this is that I started writing this when feelings of frustration and heartbreak over crushes were fresh, but as summer came along, it gave me a break and I finally got over all of it.

It took me so long to bring chapters out because I usually thought back on how I felt so I could try to describe the feelings Star would be dealing with, and I didn't really want to go back and relive that. Well I mean, I tried making a chapter to finish it, but it felt rushed and I chose not to post it.

But! I do have a little Starco thing to post here for an apology, and I hope you enjoy it. It was a little practice thing, and I'm still learning, so if you could leave any good advice, that would be awesome!

Marco was slowly leaning closer to her, which already gave her an idea of what was going to happen.

He's going to kiss me! Star rejoiced, until the heavy realization suddenly dawned upon her.

Oh no, Her eyes widened, He's going to kiss me.

Star blushed like crazy once Marcos lips pressed against her own. It was gentle and so very sweet, but she didn't move. It surely didn't help that his hands held her in place by the waist, but that's not the movement she meant. She didn't return the kiss. She started to panic, I need to move, I need to do something. Her mind immediately flashed through all the romantic movies she's ever seen to all the romantic stories she's ever read. The text makes it look so easy! She cried to herself.

Star felt so much guilt and disappointment fall on her all at once as she felt him slowly pull away.

Wait no, come back, I can figure this out... She begged him mentally, desperately hoping he could read her mind.

Marco felt so nervous as he pulled away from her. Actually, he felt like he wanted to disappear. This was such a stupid idea, why did he think kissing his best friend would be such a good idea. He mentally scolded himself as he took in the view of her expression. She looked like she must've seen a totally shredded shirtless ghost with how much she was blushing! Well, she was blushing like crazy, so atleast he has that effect on her. Hopefully that was a good thing? But her wide eyes, what did they have to say?

"Star?" He pushed himself to say something, he wanted so desperately to know he didn't screw everything up. "Are you alright?"

Star slowly nodded but spoke in a low voice, "I-I'm so sorry Marco..."

Marco winced at this, his heart already slowly waving a white flag. Burning with embarrassment, he stood still, waiting to hear what she had to say.

"I need to be honest with you," Star laughed nervously, completely unaware to Marcos state of panic. "I actually, uh, don't know how the whole kissing thing works."

The second she said this, relief had washed over him, replacing the embarrassment he had felt just a moment ago. Which he was thankful for, because he was confident he had stopped breathing when he was waiting to hear what she had to say. As Star continued to laugh about her ignorance on how to kiss, Marco began to quietly take deep breaths to relish the oxygen that was finally rushing back into his lungs.

Once he was finished, Marco pulled her into a hug, burrying his face into the crook of her neck as he was shaking with laughter. "Oh my goodness, Star..."

This caught Star off guard as she finally stopped rambling to wrap her arms around him.

"Are you okay?" She asked, now more concerned than nervous.

Marco pulled away to look at her, "You have no idea how worried your response made me! You didn't kiss back, and just, I had no idea of what to think... I thought I screwed everything up..."

Star covered her face in embarrassment, "Oh no...I am so sorry!"

She pulled her hands away to look at him again, "I would love to kiss you, but I mean, like I said...I don't know how to, uh, kiss...on the lips." Star reassured him.

However, as she said this, an idea suddenly came to mind.

"Buuut, I do know how to do this." With a smile, she pulled him down towards her so that she was able to leave a kiss on his cheek. Marco frowned once she pulled away.

"Just one?" He asked incredously.

Without waiting for an answer, Marco pulled her back in only to start bombarding Star with kisses, leaving her laughing with delight.

"Have mercy!" She cried as he continued to plant kisses all over her cheeks.

Well, there it is! I'll be sure to post more dumb ship stuff or even dumb personal stuff (definitely ship stuff, though), but this is the end of this one.

Thank you everyone for reading!

God Bless!
