"Your so full of nonsense! You think the world could actually be like that? Your generation is so stupid and selfish. The world is doomed with you dumb kids as its future leaders. Just let the grown-ups handle it." The History teacher says looking at me with disappointment.

"Like thats been working at all." I mumbled sarcastically.

"Excuse me? Would you like to say that a little louder?" She tells me.

"Yes I would." I tell her standing up from my chair.

"Sit back down Wild!" Her eyes went wide.

"No."

"Oh y-"

"You want to know what I said. I will tell you!"

She tried to speak but I interrupted her.

"Look how it's been going with letting 'the grown-ups handle it!'
Not so well! Look outside! Look and see how "smoothly" the world is going with letting the grown-ups handle it. Your the history teacher here you should know about all the messes the grown-ups have made!"

The class snickers behind me.

"The world is just fine without you having to open your big mouth Wild!"

"Oh please! The words that are coming out of my mouth hurt the world less than your Facebook posts do."

The teachers eyes widened even more and her cheeks flushed red.

"That is no way to talk to a teacher Miss Mountainer! You are being very disrespectful."

"Well isn't it very VERY frowned upon when a teacher calls a student stupid or dumb? I don't think teachers are supposed to encourage their students to think of themselves as idiots. Aren't they supposed to support and encourage their students to believe they are brilliant in their own manner? If my hypothesis is correct doesn't that mean you are the one being very disrespectful to me Mrs. Fog?" I say in an innocent tone.

Mrs. Fog opens her mouth but nothing comes out. The class and I are silent as we wait for her response. For a few seconds it was silent until she cleared her throat and shook her head.

"Just get out Wild. Just go."  She says covering her eyes and pointing at the door.

"Thank you! I am glad to be able to go. Since it appears the teacher here does not know what she is talking about."

I grab my bag off my chair and sling it over my shoulder. I then    proceed to walk out the door.

I turn around as I'm almost out the door.

"Have a good rest of your day Mrs. Fog." I turn back around and walk out the door.

As I'm walking down the hall I shake my head and looked up towards where the sky would be if the ceiling wasn't there.

"I don't think all grown-ups and teachers are like that. Mrs. Fog is just one of those people that doesn't have hope in us kids. I know that not all of them are like her though. There is a lot of good people in this world but it seems like the bad ones are trying to block them out." I sigh and continue on my way.
