This world seemed a bit too big for me, being three years old and still remembering that same occurrence of my life flashing before my eyes, dreams of finally touching the skies.
Its like what my grandpa Paul used to tell me, "Tami, you may be small, but that doesn't mean your weak. Your dreams are endless and you can touch the skies and feel the wind, the clouds will wait for you some day, don't give up yet." Honestly, I feel like he's still with me; not long ago, my grandpa Paul passed away on a cold Christmas morning right in his own bed. I still remembered how the crisp snow piled over his tombstone to this very day. Honestly, I felt safer when he was with me, but.. I guess I have to get used to the fact it kind of hard to see him go. The man had a lot going for him, but now he's with the skies where the sun and moon stay, where he can touch the stars with his fingertips, he sleeps in the clouds and he's finally asleep forever, I will see you in the skies grandpa, I haven't forgotten you yet.
My mind still raced of how my world went too quickly, losing one of the people I held oh so close to me. Soon, those thoughts were interrupted by one of my dads. If you didn't know already, my father's names are Tord And Thomas, don't mind the names I suppose, unless you wanna get a drink or two with one of them I guess. "Tami, get down stairs!", Tom had called out; he seemed a bit anxious by the sound of his voice. "What is it this time?" My voice was of course too quiet for him to hear me, so instead I wrote my words on paper, holding it up. It seemed I had to do this all the time.Okay, okay. I will inform you my voice is extremely quiet sometimes, but that doesn't mean that I'm mute your something. "Some kids your age will be here any moment, we invited them to get a bit more acquainted with you, you need to make some friends sooner or later, your already sixteen and you still don't have any friends sweetie, please just try to make friends with some of them, that's all I'm asking you." Tord already was frustrated by me I guess, never did I try making them worry so much for me, even if that meant staying on the internet some, playing video games, or just running outside 24/7 to be in the woods. No matter what it was, they could never cease the moment to worry for me.
Later on that day, I went up to my room to get changed as both of my dads just asked me, it felt like a million times they had asked me, until I eventually gave up and went upstairs to grab a thin lemon colored sweater and some light pink denim shorts, soon already pulling on my dirty purple sneakers. "Sup." I kind of looked around to find the voice, realizing people were already standing at the door, kind of grouped together. Of course, Tom invited them in, kind of pushing me toward the kitchen. Trying to force me into having friends are they? They worry a lot I get it, might as well talk to them and make friends I suppose, just worrying too much for me honestly, but that's why I love them so much.
Soon, it started to grow darker outside, the sun finally wanted to go to sleep I guess, he was probably pretty sick and tired of hearing me and the others babble, it was time for him to end his shift. The others eventually left, keeping me just sitting at the kitchen table, as usual not making friends.
"So.. they tried again, hm?" It was my grandpa Patryk, standing at the doorway, looking right down at me slightly. "yeah.." Soon my voice trailed off, kind of ignoring the fact that in a way there was a part of me that wanted to make friends, but never did I find enough luck to even do that. "Tami, don't worry.. you'll make friends when you want to, don't let them get to your head". "Thanks grandpa, that means a lot to me that you understand." "Your grandpa Paul would be so proud of you right now, just looking how big you've grown and how you've turned into a beautiful woman so far, remember still to keep your dreams, don't give up on them yet.As the night quickly crept through, the only thing I could think of was just playing my online games.
