Lush, green agriculture surrounded my fragile structure while the smell of sweet pine tickled my nose. The sky was colored in a mixture of deep pink hues with different shades of orange and pinches of purple at the horizon line. The wind scraped at my skin which resulted in my loose hair flowing freely. The night gown I wore danced in unison with the air. The land area I was in was completely vacant and no source of humanity in sight. In the distance a shadowy figure could be made out. My bare feet began to walk towards the unknown figure. Within seconds I was facing the back of a suit that belonged to a young man. My finger poked at his back and the unknown person was Liam, someone I would never believe to see but was secretly hoping to find. He had a smile on his face as though he had seen something beautiful. We stared at each other for what seemed like ages. I wanted to know what he was thinking about so I tried to read his mind but it was no use, nothing came out, Either Liam was a complete air head or I lost my power. My facial expression must have changed because Liam soon broke the silence with a quiet chuckle.

“You can’t read my mind here Skittles.” My heart started beating fast and felt as if it were about to burst from out of my chest. I was beyond nervous at what he might say.

“Don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me.” A cold breeze past through which made my body shiver. Liam must have noticed because he pulled my body closer to his and within an instant I felt warmth take over me. My face was nestled in his chest and I felt him staring at me. I looked up into his eyes, his beautiful brown eyes and was in a trance. In the background Moonlight Sonata played as we just looked into each other’s eyes. When I looked at him I felt like I was looking into his soul, seeing and feeling everything he had gone through from the year after Isabel’s death. He started leaning into me and without hesitation I copied his movement.

My eyes blinked and he was gone; vanished into thin air. The sky changed from its beautiful mixture of colors to black. The wind started to pick up which caused my short night gown to fight with me. I started yelling out Liam’s name but lightning started to pound the floor cracking the earth. My body started trembling and I was scared but I kept on yelling his name, hoping he would save me and protect me. I walked around aimlessly and I came upon a big tree. The setting changed to where it was raining and to where I was walking in water and the big tree had a whole big enough to climb into. Walking towards it, I felt agonizing pain in my bare feet. The water was covered in shards of glass. Screaming out in pain as I felt more glass sink into my feet I ran the rest of the way to the tree. In the whole there was an engraving. The letters ‘L’ and ‘I’ in a heart and on the side of it there was an engraving of another heart with the letters ‘L’ and ‘S’. I traced both with my fingers and then I was sucked into the tree and the last thing I screamed out was Liam’s name.

“Sirena! Sirena! Wake up!” I rapidly sat up and opened my eyes to see Ryan with a worried expression.  My breath was heavy and fast but I was able to mutter out,

“What- what happened?” He hugged me tightly, to the point where it was actually difficult to breath.

“You were crying in your sleep and moaning Liam’s name. You wouldn’t wake up. I heard you through your door when I was on my way to the bathroom. I was trying to wake you for about ten minutes but you wouldn’t budge.” Once my breathing was steady I tried to remember my dream but all I could think about were two hearts.; one with the letters ‘L’ and ‘S’ and the other with the letters ‘L’ and ‘I’. Something moist dropped onto my chest. Ryan was right I was crying but why.

“I-I’m fine. Sorry.” I managed to choke out. He finally let go of me with his boa grasp.

“What time is it?” He picked up my iPod and checked. Judging by how dark it was outside, it was still really early.
