Kiki' POV

One day everything was fine. I had a nice boyfriend, though my parents didn't approve of, but hey! I was happy with him like it or not. My mother was half demon half human, and my father was full demon so I guess that makes me 1/3 human? Tomoe was half demon half shinigami. We were like two peas in a pod. Tomoe and I are perfectly happy together. Though one day I started to feel pain in my abdomen.

"Hey Tomoe my stomach kinda hurts.." I said not thinking much. We were good kids always had A's and B's in school and did nothing that I shouldn't do. So pregnancy is off the list.

"What do you mean?" He asked a bit concerned.

"Well.. I don't really know" then everything went black or just high speed.

•few weeks later•

There I was laying in a hospital bed high on hydrocodones and just out of it. In my mind I was screaming they ripped out my appendix! But I'm all terms of reality I was crying cause the compressors on my legs were squeezing them so my legs wouldn't clot up. All I could say about that was "my legs aren't st-stupid! They know how to work!" I babbled on while being a crying mess. Though the more I thought about it. I remember waking up during the surgery and looking at a tv in there and then looking straight up. After that I guess I went to sleep again.

"Shhh it's okay Kiki. Your legs aren't stupid they just need help" Tomoe said reassuring me that everything was fine. Kinda.

"Oh.. okay" I said without a second thought on what he was saying cause my mind was like jello. "Ow.." something felt off. No. something was off. I looked down at the IV needle in my arm and glared at it. It had felt like a burning toxic feeling running through my veins. It had a tingling sensation all in my arm. Something was telling my to pull it out. Pull it out now! Right on cue I pulled out the IV. The machines went crazy for a moment until a nurse came in.

"You need to keep the IV in." She insisted.

"No it was burning and felt toxic. I can't let you put that back in." I said not letting her near me with a new butterfly needle.

"Oh come on your being dramat-" just as that had happened the nurse cut off my boyfriend.

"No your right. Lets get you a blood transfusion right now." She said as she left the room she talked outside the room with a nurse. Something about mercury. That's strange mercury is a toxic element in humans- wait.

"Uh.. I think we should hit the road." I said while trying to sit up but it only hurt worse since I hade just gotten out of surgery.

The look on my face described the fear and horror as the only think I could think of was.

Run.
