Maya:

It's been 2 weeks.

He still haven't woken up.

I stayed with him all the time and Aaliyah came visiting every day afer school, bringing me new clothes to wear and some fan letters of people hearing about Shawn's accident.

I get food, shower and a bed all from the hospital. They know by now that I'm not leaving his side.

"And?" She asked walking into the room as she came from school. I shook my head and she sat down taking her brothers hand in hers. "I miss you bro!" She said and I smiled at her.

"He'll wake up Aaliyah. Like I told you, he'll always come back to you." I said and she ran around the bed to me. She gave me a hug and we started crying.

"He doesn't only need to come back to me Maya." She croaked out as she pulled out of my embrace. "He needs to come back for you." She said and I wiped her cheeks clean from her falling tears.

"Call me if anything happens." She said and I nodded as she walked out of the room, grabbing her bag on a nearby chair.

I took Shawn's hand in mine again and lifted up my book from my lap. I was reading The Fault In Our Stars and in the middle of the chapter I was busy with I felt butterflies in my tummy.

"What?" I said confused and put my book down. "Why am I getting butterflies?" I talked to myself and then I felt a squeeze on my hand.

My head shot up to Shawn and I just stared at him. Hoping it was him.

There it is again.

He squeezed my hand.

"Shawn." I said standing up and looking at him, cupping his cheek with my one hand and I saw his lips moving around the tube down his throat.

His eyes started moving and then they fluttered open. "Oh my god you're awake!" I said overexcited and hugged him immediately, tears, happy tears, rolling down my cheeks.

"Maya." He mumbled weakly with the tube blocking his lips to form round words and he hugged me back.

"Nurse!" I yelled as I ran out of his room. She came tunning to me and saw Shawn frustrated in his bed. She immediately took the tube out of his throat and he took deep breaths, trying to breath on his own again.

"Welcome back." The nurse said, reating her hand on his shoulder and his cheeky little smile appeared back on his face.

God I missed that.

I was crying so hard into his chest after I hugged him again and then I heard him sniffing. "I missed you." I said pulling away and cupping his face, wiping away his tears.

"I'm sorry Maya. Please don't leave me." He said and tears were still rolling down his face. I sniffed and wiped away my tears. "Shawn I'm never leaving you." I said and kissed him.

A while later after I called his parents and Aaliyah they arrived and it was all hugs and kisses.

Shawn:

The nurse said that I could go home after twelve am. I was happy about that, getting to go home again and being with Maya.

"Shawn!" Aaliyah yelled as she came into my room and I immediately started tearing up. "Liyah." I exclaimed and pulled her into a tight hug as she cried onto my shoulder.

"Can I get up please." I asked and Maya stood up, helping me out of bed for my one leg was still in a cast. "Okay just try and get your balance." She said as my arm was wrapped around her shoulders and she was holding me up by my torso.

"I love you." I said looking down at her and saw her blushing as I plonked down in the wheelchair next to my bed and she wheeled me down the hall towards my dad's car.

When we areived home my dad helped me to my room as Maya took my bags for me. I fell down on my bed and I never felt more at home.

I know I'm only gonna lay here in bed to but it's much better than the hospital.

After my dad left the room Maya came in and placed my bags down on the floor. "Come here." I said holding my arms open to her.

She walked over to me and sat down on my lap, straddling me as she hugged me. I just wanted to hold her. I missed this so much. And that dream made me crave it even more.

"I'm so happy you're okay." She whispered in my ear as her fingers brushed through my hair. "You're the reason I woke up." I said and kissed her neck.

She looked up at me and I cupped her cheeks, kissing her like I never did before. I love her so much and I feel so guilty for what I did and almost letting her slip through my fingers.

But she's home now.

That's all that matters.
