Classic Love Story

New beginnings

SUNDAY MORNING

Mum stops the car and turns of the engine. "Were here...!" My little sister screams.

It's moving day in our new house in California, we live in a quiet small town near the beach. It's a house that was built back in the 60's, But was recently renovated. I believe some parts are the same, but most of the house has changed.

I pick my sister up (McKenna, but I like to call her Kenna) and get out the door. "I'll take McKenna to her room and help you soon." I say while I close the door then face mum. "Alright darling, McKenna behave yourself." She says while picking up a box. We both nod then follow mum into the new house.

I walk up to the door and open for my mum. "Thank you honey!" She says with a smile. I walk in behind her, and close the door. I love my mum, she's the best. Even though we may not be the richest of people, after my dad suddenly disappeared. But my mum has been working very hard for us, and bought this house.

"The smell of a new home, I love it!" I say. "Wow, it looks much better in person," Mum says. Since we lived in London, obviously we weren't able to see the house in person. So we had to choose a house, over our screens. For some reason, I never really picked up the British accent. Although, I would've love to have a british accent!

"Put me down!" Kenna screams. "Okay,Okay, come down." I say. "Well then, Willow why don't you take Kenna to her room?" Mum says. I nod and we both go up to her room.

"So, what do you think sis?" I say, opening the door. I put McKenna down and let her run around the room. "I love it, it's so big!" She runs around her room with her arms out in circles.

I'm so glad that she loves it, she does have the biggest room. She deserves to be free and happy, she doesn't need her dad.

I watch her run around for a little then I join in with her. Who new just running around in circles could be so entertaining?

After a while I tell Kenna that we should unpack her things.

It's only 12pm midday, we just finished unpacking. Me and McKenna sit on the couch and watch telly tubbies, Mum walks over to us. "Now I don't think I need to go to the gym this week, I already did my workout." She says. I laugh and look at Kenna who looks like she's addicted to telly tubbies. I look back at mum "Do you want to get pizza, I saw a pizza store down the street, do you want to go...?" I ask mum. "Of corse go get dressed, me and McKenna are gonna wait outside." As she walks of with Kenna, I smile back and walk up stairs to my room.

I get changed into...

I walk to my window and grab my glasses and put them on. Then head downstairs outside.
"Hey mum, I'm ready let's go." I say and grab Kenna's hand on the left side. And mum grabs her hand on the right. We start walking down the street.

We arrive at the pizza store, i look inside there are some people inside. Mum opens the door and walks into the store and walks into one of the booths. Mum sits opposite of me and Kenna next to her.

I order the food for us. "So honey, I know you must feel very nervous about your first day of school tomorrow but it's okay because when I had my first day of school-" I zoned out then. I started to look around the room. I soon meet eyes with a boy who looks like the same age as me.

He had dark brown hair slicked to the side, and beautiful blue eyes. He was so hot, the moment only lasted 3 seconds when a girl grabbed him and started kissing him.

I stop looking and turn to my mum who's still talking about her background or whatever. She notices that I was staring at the 'couple' she turns to see what I was looking at around the corner.

"Honey... I know it's hard for you but... you'll find love soon, it's not to late you are amazing don't forget that!" Mum says.

I slap myself against my forehead. "Willow, I don't see any point of you doing that your just going to hurt yourself." She's says worried. She looks down at McKenna's foot, and realises something. "Oh no, McKenna where's your sock?" Mum asks "umm.. I don't know." She's says in a sad voice. "I'll go back to the house and grab a new pair of socks for her." I offer "Oh thank you so much Willow your a lifesaver!" I take the single sock and stuff it into my pocket.

I stand up and stop right before where the table is. "I love you Willow, and be quick!" She demands. I nod and walk to the door, I walk in a rush back to the house.

I suddenly walk slower when I see, the boy I saw in the pizza store holding hands with a tall but shorter than the guy, the same girl that was kissing him. I can tell their a couple for sure. She had dark brown hair too, blue eyes. She was really pretty.

The girl turns her head while kissing the guy and glares at me. Oh crap she caught me staring!! I look down at my phone pretending I'm texting someone. I mean I don't really have any friends anyway.

Why do I even care their just strangers, I don't even know them?

I'm finally at the new house and avoided the couple I go and grab a fresh pair of socks for Kenna I run to the pizza place again.

I sit in the booth and pass mum the socks so she can put them on McKenna. "You guys started without me?" I say out of breath. "Sorry, I was really Hungry..." Kenna says while lifting her leg up for mum.

"That's fine." I say while taking a bite of the pizza.

It's night time, I go to Kenna's room and tuck her into bed. I read her a story and before you know it she was gone. I'm the only one awake in the house everyone else is sleeping.

I sat on my bed, and opened my diary. I read over, what I had wrote throughout the day. Personally, I love reading and I love writing. I take my diary everywhere I go, but of course never let anyone see it. A good example is today, well yesterday for me since the next day. Never mind it's confusing, anyway...

I looked out the window. It was a full moon, I looked at it and sighed. And thought, Tomorrow is school I'm gonna start new beginnings...
