Hope, Hanna, Katie, Allison, and I decide one day that we would go on an adventure of some sort. We walk to Johnny's, the pizza kitchen in Natchitoches, and we decide that afterwards, we would just walk around town. And we did. We walk past a couple strip malls and came across this barber shop called "Hair Jordan's." Hair Jordan's is the kind of place that houses pitt bulls, has basketball hoops built into the walls, and a whopping number of four different types of haircuts on the board, including afro and mohawk.
Anyway, as we pass Hair Jordan's, this person approaches us and asks us all these questions outside the barber shop. We are unsure as to whether the person that just approached us is male or female. Judging by the way the person is dressed, we come to the conclusion that this person is, in fact, a tranny. And we figure out that she is a woman. She is wearing a bright orange sweatshirt, nike shoes (with no shoelaces), a camouflage hat, and a light brown jumpsuit with a patch on the chest that reads "Gene." Gene was drunk. She has a bottle which was wrapped in a brown paper bag in one hand and a yo-yo in the other. In the 10 minutes that we were standing outside of Hair Jordan's, Gene asks us for a light, offers a yo-yo lesson or two, invites us to this birthday party (which is apparently supposed to be off the heezy), and asks us to play a game of pool in the barber shop. Bright, young Allison drags us into Hair Jordan's with Gene.
Keep in mind, the five of us are clearly in the minority. As we walk in, Katie decides to walk in the opposite direction toward the nearby grocery store. Gene steps out of Hair Jordan's to ask Katie why she is not going into the barber shop. Katie decides to walk in. I give Allison a dollar so she can play her game with Gene. The rest of us sit down. Ricky, a new LSMSA student, is in Hair Jordan's waiting for a haircut. As Gene and Allison play their game, Ricky proceeds to tell us that we are "like them white girls in the movies."
The pool game is still going on and soon enough, Gene begins to step aside and remove articles of clothing for Allison. As Hanna walks by, Gene immediately covers herself up again. Then, Gene stepped aside and started lifting this barbell three or four times. I assume she was trying to impress Allison. She then slams the barbell on the ground. Next, she walks up to Katie, Hope, Hanna, and I and takes off her glasses then smiles seductively at us. Gene walks back to the pool table and gets behind Allison. She grabs the pool stick and begins showing Allison the moves.
After she teaches Allison a thing or two, Gene takes her turn and walks to the phone. Gene says that she is calling "her people." This meant we had to leave. We all run out of there, leaving Allison. We go into the store that Katie previously tried to enter before going into Hair Jordan's. Thankfully, we are still alive.
After leaving, Allison says that she is going to cross this event off her bucket list.
I still haven't gotten my damn dollar back.
