Here it is, guys - the HEA of my version of Captain America: Civil War. To be fair, it is pretty happily ever after compared to the real thing. But once again: fanfiction = throwing canon out the window. I think it's safe to say I threw tons out the window.

I regret nothing.

So, without further ado, here's the epilogue!

The last wisps of scarlet energy dissipated from around Bucky's head, and Wanda lowered her hands. "I think I'm done," she looked at the Doctor.

He walked forward and placed his fingers on Bucky's temples, closing his eyes. A moment later, he opened them. "Welcome to a HYDRA-free mind, Sergeant Barnes," he grinned.

"You're sure?" Bucky asked, opening his eyes, even as Steve sighed in relief.

"Completely," the Doctor nodded, looking down at the list of words Jessie had given him. "Wanda erased the codes in your head and any form of brainwashing used. You're free."

"Thank God," Bucky slumped, giving Jessie a weary smile when she hugged him.

"You protected my wife when you barely even knew her," the Doctor smiled. "It's the least I could do."

"Steve trusts her," Bucky looked at him. "So do I."

"You didn't have to do that," Steve looked between the Doctor and Wanda.

"We wanted to," Wanda smiled.

"Just keep everyone else safe," Pietro raised an eyebrow, his hand entwined with Clara's.

"I think we can do that," Bucky chuckled as he stood.

"Who knows?" Jessie smiled at him. "Maybe you'll be able to join us some time in the future."

"I'd like that," Bucky smiled back. "Not now, though. Best make sure I have a free mind before taking me to some war ridden planet."

"Probably best," the Doctor agreed, shaking his hand. "Good to meet you at last."

"And you," Bucky nodded, shaking his hand.

Jessie kissed his cheek before hugging Martha. "Thank you for the test," she smiled.

"I fully expect to be by your side when your pregnancy's over," Martha told her.

"I don't think there's anyone the Doctor and I would trust more," Jessie grinned.

Steve escorted the five time travelers out past the medical wing, and they stopped in front of a large set of glass windows. "It's beautiful here," Clara whispered.

"Yes, it is," Jessie agreed, leaning her head on the Doctor's chest, he putting his arm around her and pressing his lips to the top of her head. "Very."

Footsteps approached, and they turned and watched T'Challa approach, a tablet in his hand. "The doctors finished their tests," he told Jessie, handing the tablet to her.

She flicked through the reports, utter relief on her face. "The baby's fine," she sighed, feeling the Doctor relax.

"As I am sure you already know, Wakanda's medical facilities will be ready for you when your child comes," T'Challa informed her.

"Thank you," Jessie told him sincerely, a smile on her face. "That means a lot to us, T'Challa."

He inclined his head in reply. "I wish all of you the best."

"And to you," the Doctor inclined his head in reply.

"Be safe," Jessie told Steve, kissing his cheek.

"Take care," Steve hugged her. He and T'Challa stood, watching the time travelers head for the TARDIS parked at the end of the corridor. "Thank you," he finally told him.

"Your friend and my father, they are both victims," T'Challa told him. "If I can help one of them find peace . . . "

Steve nodded. "You know, if they find out he's here, they'll come for him."

T'Challa smirked darkly, looking out the window as the TARDIS wheezing disappeared. "Then let them try," he declared, Steve following his gaze to see the larger than life vibranium panther statue crouched in the jungle of Wakanda.

They would not harm Steve, or any of his allies, while they resided under the protection of the Black Panther.

And to be continued back in "Receiving Another Chance."

. . . wow. Done already. I think this has only been up for . . . what, less than a month? The quickest book I've ever completed start to finish, and it is amazing what support I've had from everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has dealt with me being in Europe, and to everyone who has left me such wonderful comments. I work hard to get these out because I love every single one of you for your support, and I fear I never acknowledge you guys enough.

So, on to more good news . . . I've entered this book in the 2017 Wattys along with others . . . which I now completely forget! Either way, all support is wonderful to have.

Also, just a little poll . . . tell me what you thought of the book!

Your favorite part?

Your least favorite part?

What was the best part?

What was the worst part?

Did I do something in this book you thought was awesome, fantastic, brilliant, etc. that you might want to see again?

Did I do something in this book you think I could improve upon?

And if it's not too difficult . . . which character relationships did you think was the best in the book? No, you cannot choose Kasterbel or Osimoff, because that would be way too easy.

Thanks everyone so much! Tune back in to "Receiving Another Chance" for more in Series 8 . . . and now we get to watch the Doctor more than likely have heart attacks on a daily basis. XD

Long live the OTPs!
