I pulled myself together from my breakdown and managed to get up out of bed and go pick up my little sisters to hang.
My manager, Danny, who I haven't spoken to in a few months texted me.
Danny: Hey. Just got a call from Iyanla Vanzant from Iyanla Fix My Life. You know the Oprah network? She really wants to do an episode with you and talk to you about everything this week. I think it'll be a good way to share your side of the story.
I looked at his text for a minute before replying.
Okay. Book it.
I put my phone down and continued getting dressed.
I walked downstairs to see Woody watching tv.
"Where you goin?"
"Taking Ming and Yoki out." I said blandly.
"Well, imma go with you." He said getting up.
"No." I said.
He looked up, "Fine. I'll send one of my securi-"
"Woody, no. Listen. I think it's time I leave. You have a girl now and I don't wanna mess that up dude. I don't."
He stared at me, "Aight... I'm sorry it ain't work out."
"Yeah... I'll get my stuff out tomorrow." I told him.
He nodded. I got to the door but before I stepped out he said, "Tell Yoki and Ming I said wassup. Your mom and pops too."
"Yeah." I mumbled closing the door. I got in my car and went to go pick up my sisters.
We made it to Sugar Fish, their favorite restaurant and got a private table in the back.
