While I was finishing up some last-minute school work, my phone vibrated beside me. I took a break from reviewing my essay, which was due tomorrow, to check it.

Aidan's name and a picture of us kissing popped up. I tapped decline and went back to my essay. My phone started to ring again. I declined it.

I had nothing to say to him. I was trying to move on and I had Ace to help me with it.

Aidan called over and over again until I finally answered his call.

"Babe?" he said before I could even utter a word.

"Hi, Aidan." I said blankly.

"I got my license finally! I wanted to tell you. We can see each other more now." He beamed. I could hear his smile and it almost made me want to smile.

"No, that won't be plausible."

"What do you mean?" he was confused. He didn't know about the phone call I received.

"Well, two days ago, I received a call from a girl who claimed she was your girlfriend. She told me that my number wasn't even saved in your phone and you told her I was some crazy chick who called." I stated. I remained blank. I didn't want him to sense any emotion from me. After dealing with Ace, I learned that it was quite frustrating.

"Charlotte, I...,"

"No, no. There is nothing you could possibly say to fix my broken heart. I don't want anything to do with you. You caused me so much pain."

"I love you, though."

"No, Aidan, you can't. You shouldn't have slept with me while you were in a relationship. I understand that I'm not there and you probably want to experience other people, but you used me. I can't forgive you." A tear flowed freely down my face.

"I wanted my first time to be with you. It meant something to me. You're the only girl I really care about. Yes, I have a girlfriend but she's just someone I pass time with. In the end, I want to be with you."

"Well, Aidan, you should change your plans. Plan your future without me because I sure as hell won't be in it. You know what it's like to know that you lost your virginity to someone who was already taken?"

"I was selfish and I'm sorry. I really do love you. You're my whole heart. Please don't leave me, Charlotte. I can't imagine life without you."

"You have been without me for a while now and you even replaced me. You can't just go between me and her. You probably planned to sleep with me. Maybe you even did it so you could keep your promise to me but you really just wanted to sleep with her." I said.

"No, it wasn't like that. I haven't even brought her home. I don't want to sleep with her. Why don't you listen to me?"

"Words mean nothing when your actions have already said everything. Please just forget about me. I don't want to hear from you again." I hung up. I was tired of listening to him. After I clicked the phone off, I felt a bit lighter. I felt like I was one step closer to having moved on completely. I enjoyed the feeling.

My phone buzzed again and I became angry, thinking it was Aidan texting me. It was actually Ace.

Ace: Would you like to hang out?

Me: On a Sunday afternoon?

Ace: The day is still young. It's only around 3

He did have a point with that one. I could easily finish my work whenever I returned. There wasn't much left to do.

Me: You're right. I'm down

Ace: Cool, I'll come scoop

I saved my essay and shut down the computer. I put the worksheet I had left to do on top of my laptop so I could remember to complete it.
