Your POV. "Aaron!!! Come back here, you know we're not supposed to be here, what if your mother finds out?!!" I whisper/scream at my royal merman friend. "Oh, come on y/n, where's your sense of adventure?" He says smiling at me. "I'm adventurous when it comes to me not possibly being banned or eaten by FLIPPING SHARKS!!!!" I yell. "Come on... we'll be fine, you've got me to protect you" he said flexing his arms showing his muscles. I roll my eyes and say "pft... please... you? Protect me? If anything I'm gonna be the one protecting you," I said flexing my arms to show my muscles that were bigger than Arron's. He looked defeated and slightly wounded, "y/n that's not fair... just because your a royal guard doesn't mean you can lessen my manliness." He whined. Yes, that's correct I am a royal guard, surprised? Well get used to it, but I'm also Arron's best merfriend. "What manliness?" I asked, and then bursted into laughter by the look on his face. Pretty soon he started laughing too. While we were laughing I didn't notice a shadow pass over us, until I heard loud booming sounds coming from above the surface. I stopped laughing and hushed Aaron, he looked at me puzzled until he heard another loud booming sound. We looked at each other, and before I could say we should go back, he went swimming towards the surface. "Well... flip." I whispered under my breath and I quickly began swimming after my red headed friend. "Aaron, stop!" I yelled out to him, but he just kept swimming. I groaned in frustration and caught up to him just as he reached the surface. "Aaron, we shouldn't be up here, we need to go back now." I said with authority in my voice. "Shhh." He whispered and becomes me to follow him. He climbed up the side of the ship and looked over at the crew celebrating on the ship. An old looking man appeared with a kind of scruffy looking dog (I love dogs tbh!! I have two! A Great Pyrenees and a shih tzu, comment your favorite dog or what dogs you have.. or even if you just like dogs!! But you don't have to if you don't want to... I'm just saying. Okey bye now.) and made an announcement, in honor of Princess Erica we present this statue... a young women came out, she looked about our age, and started joking around with the old man. As he revealed the statue the young girl looked up at it in awe. "Wow Grimsby! Uhh, it looks great..." Said the female. I just rolled my eyes, I glanced to the side and saw Arron looking at her with adoration... I don't know why but I could feel a sharp pain in my chest, like something just broke a little inside of me. 'What the heck?' I thought, 'it's probably nothing, I might just be getting sick.' I brushed it off and stared back at the princess. A sad feeling built up in my chest and it was starting to bother me...

"Oh Y/n I think I'm in love!!" Arron squealed. At this I grumbled and rolled my eyes. "That squeal was very manly, Arron." I said, sarcasm dripping from my tone. He gave me a plain look, but continued talking anyways. I just tuned out his voice, I wasn't in the mood for this, I didn't actually listen until he mentioned Ursul... the sea wizard. "Woah, woah, woah... woah. What about the sea wizard?" I asked raising a brow. Of course he didn't respond and obviously kept rambling. "That's it, I'm gonna do it, I'm going to ask the sea wizard for legs," he said with determination. "Are... you... OUT OF YOUR SEAWEED FILLED MIND?!!!! Your going. To make a deal. With. The . Sea wizard? The man. that. Was. Exiled?!" I shrieked as I looked at him in disbelief. He just looked at me with a small smile and nodded. I was absolutely astonished, "nope, nuh-uh, this is not happening, you are not going to do this, not while I'm under orders from your mother, not while I'm ordered to look out of you, not because you think you love a random girl you JUST MET!!! You are not going to do this! As your best friend and your guard I am not allowing you to do this!" I rambled as I led him towards the palace. But he yanked his hand out of my grip, "How would you know! I do love her!" He yelled, "Arron you just met her," I said as I deadpaned, "it's true love!" (Turning into frozen?🤔❄... Nah)He argued, "what would you know about true love, Arron?" I asked knowing he is so naive to know anything about real love. "More than you would, you've never been in love. Your just a spoiled royal guard." He spat. I was shocked he would say something like that, but quickly recovered, trying my best to contain the anger starting to rise. "As a your best friend and royal guard, your mothers trusted guard to protect and look after you, I will not allow you to go through with this, you are to come back with me to the palace and await your mother." I ordered. He looked at me with rage, "well I don't need anyone to look after me... maybe your not my best friend after all." He said as he turned away from me. All that boiling rage built up, does he not know what I have to do for him, to protect him. I have to go through his mothers wrath, always getting scolded to 'do my job better' and that's what he says. "You really are dense aren't you?" I spat, my words held a little venom in them as I was still trying to hold back. He looked at me in shock. "My personal life doesn't concern you... and you have NO idea what I have been through" I said, my voices slightly raised as tears started to form in my eyes. I glanced into his eyes, I saw a hint of hurt, anger, and maybe... just maybe some sympathy. "Your coming back to the palace with me, whether you like it or not" I said as I was facing him but avoided eye contact. He looked at me in rage, shook his head and stormed towards the sea wizards lair. ( ok... 1. I know what your thinking... 'WHY HAVENT YOU UPDATED IN FIVE EVAH!!! WHY!! WHY DO YOU TORTURE US!!!??... well school is a pile of shhhhh... shnitzel and stressing me. And 2. MY FLIPPIN WATTPAD IS ACTING UP AND IM STUCK IN BOLD ITALICIZED FLIPPIN FONT!!!!! So I'm sorry but I might have to write like this for a while, and I'm sorry if it bothers you as much as it bothers me. ~author out✌).
