After many hours of intergation, the police station transferred Olivia into Arkham Asylum. Because she knew the place so well, they built her her own custom cell. Weeks had passed by. They took her into therapy sessions but she refused to say anything. Finally, Bruce decided to take matters into his own hands. He put on the suit and made his way into the asylum with the assistance of his officer acquaintance, Gordon.
"She hasn't said a single word since we locked her in the cell. No one, not even some of her old work partners could get her to talk." Gordon explained.
Batman nodded. "I will see what I can accomplish. We can't wait around to figure out her motives, people could be in danger and while we wait for her to talk Joker and Harley Quinn are getting away. Unfortunately Gordon, I can't be in two places at once." Gordon nodded.
"Maybe you ought to find some help other than the police." He suggested.
"Like a sidekick, hate to break it to you but I work alone." Batman replied.
"You will never know unless you give it a try," Gordon and Batman rounded a corner and walked down a flight of stairs. Eventually they ended up in the basement. They continued through a long dark corridor until they reached a metal cage at the end of the hall. The cage was built with indestructible glass and titanium frames. Inside was Olivia sitting on a cold, flat, uncomfortable bed. It was the only piece of furniture in the room.
Batman waked up to the glass. "Let her out or let me in," He looked at Gordon.
Gordon pressed a little red button on his radio. After a muffled voice said something Bruce couldn't understand, Gordon spoke. "We need you to send the officials down to restrain her when we let her out. She is to be interrogated once more by the Batman; copy." Another muffled voice responded. "Alright we will be here waiting; over." Gordon finished. "They are sending two more officers down." Bruce nodded.
After a little while Olivia was escorted to another room. Gordon incisted on going in with Bruce but Bruce refused his offer and went in alone.
Olivia stared at the ground. She said nothing and barely moved.
"Olivia, I need you to tell me why you bommbed the chemical plants two weeks from now." Bruce said calmly yet also in a stern way. Normally he would take a different approach during interrogations, but for some reason he believed Olivia was not the kind of criminal that was gone for good. Her motives formed out of sadness instead of anger which in a way made it possible for her to get better and leave these issues and motives behind.
Olivia merely shook her head.
"We can do this the hard way or the easy way, I have methods for both." Bruce explained. Olivia said nothing once more. Bruce sighed and took out a picture. There was a bloody finger print on the bottom and a tear on the top left corner.
"This is your sister. Joker murdered her and took the body in order to make a decoy of himself to fake his own death. Asumeing she was the only remaining family you had, her death pushed you over the edge and you became obsessed with wanting revenge. I believe that this was your motive correct." Olivia glanced at the picture but then quickly looked back at the floor with saddened eyes. She refused to say anything.
"You were a victim of Joker's cruel games and I am sorry for that, but because you decided to get revenge and blow up the chemical plants in which he grew up, you are now the criminal." Bruce said. Olivia's expression became angry.
"How can you call me the criminal after everything he has done!?!" Olivia yelled, a tear slipping and rolling down her face.
"Just because you are considered a criminal does not make him inoccent. He is worse of a criminal than you. Unfortunately he is rather good at getting away which is why you are here instead of both of you." Bruce said. "You knew him better than anyone other than Harley. If he lost his home and managed to get away, where would he go."
Olivia looked back at the ground once again refusing to speak.
"Listen to me Olivia. If you want revenge you will get it through justice, but if you don't help me to figure out where he is, I can't give you that closure."
"Sorry Bat, but you can't reason with a crazy person." Olivia laughed and smiled as the officers took her back to her cell.
