Learning To Feel Again

Chapter 12

"You ready for an amazing night?" Haley asks me as we walk into my bedroom. 

"Of course! We have only two hours to get ready though so we need to Limo will be here at seven" I recall the time my father told me. I set my dress down on my bed and Haley follows suit. 

"I'm going to take a quick shower. You can go ahead and get dressed if you want. And turn on the radio if you would like" I point to a rectangle sitting on my desk. I head on into my bathroom and go ahead and take my clothes off. I hop in the shower and quickly wash off today's sweat and get out. I walk to my sink and grab a bottle of vanilla bean scented lotion. I rub it on my arms and legs and walk out of the bathroom. 

"That was quick" Haley comments

"Why thank you" I wink at her. She already has her red dress on and is waiting for me so I can do her hair and make- up. 

I put on a thong and then the dress and do a quick check in the mirror to make sure it still looks okay. Which it does so yay!

"Okay, how would you like your hair?" I walk over to where Haley is sitting in front of my vanity.

"Something simple and sophisticated. Maybe braided back?" 

"I know the perfect thing" I grab two medium sized pieces of Haley's hair in the front and begin the braid both of the pieces. When I'm done with each I pull them in the back and pin them in place. I grab some hairspray and spray away. 

"Tada" I spin her around so she can see. "What do you think?" 

"I love it! Thank you" she gives me a quick hug and sits back down. 

"Now the makeup" I smile as I get started on her face. I put dark red lipstick on her along with a little gloss to make her lips pop. I give her eyes a dark, but fierce shade and finish with a bold wing. Just her style. The last thing I do is give her some highlighter and take a step back. I admire my work.

"You look like a princess" I compliment my gorgeous friend

"Do you really think so?" 

"Of course! Now scootch, I have to get ready" I laughed as I sat down where she was sitting. I start with my hair. I curl it and then I spray it. I bunch up the curls and pin them together to give it a Goddess of love feel to it. I then take a gold leave band and set on the top of my head to complete the style. 

Next, I start on my makeup. I put on a nude shade of matte lipstick along with a nude colored eye shadow that has a hint of rose gold in it. Then I put on a light shade of blush along with a gold highlight. After forty minutes I was finished and it was almost time to go. 

I put on the rose gold, sparkly heels and the locket that Asher gave me. I also throw on a gold gladiator bracelet to complete the look. 

"I how do I look?" I ask as I give a quick twirl and smile. 

"Like a Goddess. I don't think Asher will be able to keep his hands off of you" she comments which causes me to blush. And I'm sure Lucas will think the same of her. 

"Well let's head out and party!" I shout as we walk out of my room and go to the limo.

After a thirty minute drive, we arrive in front of a glamorous hotel. The chauffeur opens our door and we get out. "My dad out did himself" I look at Haley to see her nodding in agreement. We walk into the grand hotel and make our way to the back. The party is being held outside. We walk out there and the party is already going. 

There is a giant white gazebo in the middle of the grounds which has fairy lights strung up everywhere. There is a table that has my gifts on it and there is a table full of food adjacent to the gift table. "Wow" I say amazed at the scene in front of me. The DJ is playing Shut up and Dance so I grab Haley by the arm and pull her to the dance floor.
