I look at my phone. Shit it was 7:53 i am late for my bus and my dad is going to kill me if i ask him to drive me to school. What choice do i have. Either stay home and have my dad beat me to a pulp literally or go to school late have my dad find out and when i come home from school have my dad beat me to a pulp then. School it is better to avoid it until later. I walk into the living room and see my dad sitting on the couch with his suit on and his morning coffee. "Um d-d-dad c-c-can you g-give me a ride to school?" I say nervous he will tell me to stay home. "Sure honey ill take you." Omg my dad isn't drunk. But he will be when i get home. Fuck im screwed. 6 awkward minutes later i was at the front if the my school/first steps of hell. "Listen honey i know its been already 6 months since your mom died but i promise i will be better. Ill stop drinking. Hey i got a job interview today. Listen Babe i got this. Ill see you later bye." With that i nod my head and get out the car. He said my first name in a sentence and he wasn't telling me to go die he said 'Babe i got this' even though i know he will be drunk later i kinda believe him. I walk into the school's office and get my schedule and walk into my first period. HOMEROOM. I already hate my homeroom teacher he is an ass. My friend had him last year and he was an even bigger ASSHOLE to her so this is going to be fun. I walk in as i hear this loud ass guy in the back of me say. "Nice of you to join us today ms...... Joyner. Please take a seat next to JC and Kian. Kian and JC please raise your hands." I look back to see these 2 boys raise their hands. I walk over to the table and put my stuff down. They were all talking about something. They introduced themselves. There was Kian, CJ, Trevor, Sam, Ricky, and Troye. (I know Troye Sivan isn't in 02l i know just read on and you know why i put him there). They all told me that there was a guy named Connor Franta that sat in my seat but he never came to homeroom and thats why the seat was open. I wondered to my self why this kid didn't come to homeroom? I wonder he was special ed. or just a badass. Whatever the case was i wasn't going to were about it. Its not my problem. Later that day around lunch time i got confused a little because the school changed the café into the gym and the gym into the café. Because apparently the café was bigger than the gym witch i totally disagree on but whatever. I found the cafeteria and spotted Kian. He was sitting with a girl maybe it was his girlfriend he was pretty hot. He gestures me over and i do. "Hey Babe this is Angel." (I know Kian isn't dating a girl named Angel just go with it). "Oh so your Babe i thought Kian just called you that for a nickname." "Um yeah Babe is my name ha...ha...ha" i say awkwardly. Its not my fault my name is Babe Lynsey Joyner. I used to get picked on a lot for my name last year because my name was Babe and all the guys told me i was ugly and not a 'babe'. This year is going to be different i can feel it. 10 minutes later we finished eating and still had 20 minutes left so we just sat there on our phones. "So Babe what are you doing friday night?" Ricky asked me. "Um not much why?." "Well we have this thing to go to its called Playlist Live and all of us have a date but Connor and we wanted to know if you would come with us?" "Um sure i am free but first do we have to dress up?" "No dress normal it is just a concert and meet and greet type of thing." Kian tells me. "Oh okay sure ill go."
'How the hell am i going to go to the Playlist Live thing with my dad on my case. He is going to yell at ne and beat me before he lets me go to that party thing' i think to myself. This is going to be a very bumpy ride to get my dad to let me go to Playlist.
