Lauren's POV
An hour passes and we are still sat at the ice cream parlour.
"That ice cream was so good," Camila starts new conversation. "Actually, more than good, it was divine".
"Fucking hell," Dinah laughs.
"What?"
"You saying 'divine'... it was weird,"
Normani hasn't really said much since the incident that happened with Dinah and the waiter. He's walked past and winked 3 times since. She's been sat silently stirring the spoon round her empty ice cream bowl.
We decided that we should have a little walk around the town before we go our separate ways. We paid for the ice cream and headed off.
"Is he seriously winking again?" Normani sighs. "He can't even wink properly, looks like he got ice cream in his eye," she scoffs.
"Did you save his number?" Dinah asks
"No. It's on the table."
I got a glance of Dinah's pleased smile with Normani's blunt response.

We walked around the town looking in numerous shops for another hour. However, for the past half an hour I have noticed Camila getting anxious. She's started to play with fingers and tap her thighs with her palms. Ally was asking her question and Camila was completely zoned out. I asked her if she was okay and she nodded in response.
The three girls headed off to see a bag in a shop and Camila and I slowly followed them to the bag. Camila grabbed my arm gesturing me to stop for a second so she could speak.
"Lauren, what time is it?" Camila asked, speaking for the first time in 30 minutes.
"It's 3 o'clock, why?"
"Can we, well, do you mind if we go to my house and tell my parents?" She nervously asks me.
"Yeah, are-"
"Yeah I'm most definitely sure I want to do it now. It might go good or bad but I can't contain it any longer," she stops. "I'm yours and you're mine and they'll have to accept that. I want to tell them before we go out because I don't want to think about it there."
I just smile after her speech, "you want to do it now? Like right now?"
She nods.
"Is this why you've been really anxious and quiet since we left the ice cream place?"
She nods again. "Was it obvious?"
"Not at all," I chuckle. "Okay babe, lets go then."
The girls were still looking at the bags and trying them on to see which one suited them best. We made our way to them to explain and I don't even think they noticed we were gone.
"Girls, Camila and I need to go," I say.
"I thought you had to leave at 4?" Dinah questioned.
"Something came up." Camila added.
"Ally, would you like a lift back?", Ally was hesitant to answer. "I honestly don't mind, its on the way to Camila's"
"Only if you're sure Lauren,"
We said our goodbyes to Dinah and Normani but I felt bad for leaving the two during their awkwardness. I wish I could bang their heads together so they could realise.
-
"Do you think they'll realise that they like each other?" I asked Ally and Camila as I pulled up to a red light.
