ALSO with these logicality oneshots, I might spell it "patten" in some and "Patton" in others. And I know Thomas confirmed its "Patton" but imma spell it "patten" cause that's easier for me ok

also I DID A ONESHOT OVER 1000 words WOOOHOOOOO

He was walking down the hall to his next class, science 11. But he had to go to the washroom, so he took a left. He entered the washroom when he heard a weird noise. It was a high pitched noise, followed by a sniffle. He realized it was a hiccup. People only hiccup and then sniffle when they've been crying. He didn't really want to be late to class, he never was. He had a perfect attendance record. But he couldn't just leave this kid in here crying. He wasn't one for feelings, but he was going to make sure this kid was alright. For once, school could wait.

"You okay?"

There was no response.

"I know you're there, I know you've been crying. What's wrong?"

He heard a sniffle followed by a voice.

"Nothing for you to worry about"

It was a lot deeper than he thought it would be. He had thought it would be a grade 8 or 9, but this sounded like a grade 11 or 12. It was vaguely familiar. He couldn't place it though. He wasn't that great with people.

"I'm going to worry about it though, so tell me."

He wasn't going to leave until this guy was even just slightly happier.

"I don't want to tell you."

There was something about the voice that he recognized, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"Well, what's your name?"

He wanted to know where the voice was from.

"Patten. You?"

He recognized the name, probably just another grade 11.

"Logan. What's your favourite colour?"

Logan knew what he was going to do. For once in his lifetime, and probably the only time, he was skipping class. His parents were going to shoot him, he had a perfect record. But he didn't want this guy to be sad. He was going to make sure Patten was happy by the time this period ended.

"What?"

Who was this guy? And why did this guy, 'Logan' care about how he was feeling? He knew a Logan in grade 11. But that guy was strictly education. He'd never skip class to make sure some guy like Patten was feeling okay. Could it be? No.

"I said, what's your favourite colour? Let's play twenty questions."

This guy couldn't be the Patten. That Patten was always happy-go-lucky. Never spotted without a smile on his face. No way could this be the same guy.

"Okay, well, my favourite colour is probably blue."

Patten was pretty confused. Most people just wanted to know what was wrong, and would just pester him until he told them. This guy wasn't pushing it. Patten liked this guy, whoever he was.

"I like blue too, I have a blue pin. What's your favourite class?"

Wait, this guy had a blue pin? No way, must be a coincidence. The "all education" Logan had a blue pin that he wore every day.

"Probably science or something."

That was a lie. Patten didn't like any classes.

"Mine would be either english or math."

"Boring with a capital B"

They both laughed a bit.

"Rude." Logan would usually be offended, but with this guy, he wasn't.

"Next question?"

"Right, um, biggest lie you've ever told."

This guy didn't ask boring questions.

"Um... I had a girlfriend in grade three and probably when I told her I loved her."

Logan started laughing.

"Oh My God I ask you the biggest lie you've told and you talk about your grade three girlfriend." Logan was laughing loudly now.

"Come on, next question."

"Right, oh I got a good one. One secret you've never told anyone."

"I thought these were questions."

"What's one secret you've never told anyone? Are you happy now?"

"Okay, well, here's a secret for you. I'd appreciate if you wouldn't tell anyone. But I uh, I'm pretty sure I'm gay."

That was kinda funny because at that time, Logan too had been questioning his sexuality.

"Cool. I won't tell anyone."

"Really? You don't think that's weird?"

"No, I kinda think I might be gay too."

There really wasn't anything wrong with being gay. The way Logan saw it, even though the purpose of being a human is technically to be able to copulate, it's fine who you are in a relationship with as long as they made you happy.

"Good to know I'm not the only one."

"Yeah, there's lots of things out there though. So, for instance, i think if you like only two genders, that's considered bisexual. I think? Two genders are like, girls and boys, or non binary and other things. I think, don't trust me. Pansexual is when you look for the same thing in any gender, so for instance, girls, boys, non binary, and others. I think that's what it is, anyway. Uh, there's also asexual and a lot of other things. I couldn't name them all."

This definitely sounded like a very informed grade 11. But why would the "all education Logan" know about LGBT+?

"Wow, you know a lot."

"Heh, I just do a lot of research."

"Okay well, I have a question. Why do you want to make sure some kid in a stall is okay? If you're the Logan I think you are, it's very illogical for you to be skipping class."

"If you're the Patten I think you are, it's very illogical for you to be crying."

"You'd be surprised."

It hit Logan then that he cared for this boy. But not in a family way. He.. dare he say it, had a crush on this boy.

Patten appreciated the fact that Logan was skipping class. He had always admired Logan, maybe even found him a bit cute. The fact that Logan was taking his time to talk to him made Patten admire Logan even more.

"Gonna come out of that stall?"

" I guess so."

Patten opened the door slowly, worried as to what Logan would see. Logan saw a worried boy exit the stall. He had brown hair and glasses, much like Logan himself. He had a blue shirt and a grey cardigan wrapped around his waist.

"You're... you're cute." Logan could not believe he had actually said that. Did he have feelings for this boy?

"You too." Patten smiled. "Hang out sometime?"

"Lunch?"

"Sounds great."
