Alexander Hamilton. The name rang through her head over and over as she was being led to the dance floor. This is him? Eliza looked over to him. God, he's perfect.

The first dance was a slower song. Eliza hated these. Within seconds, she was stepping on Alexander's feet. Eliza blushed at her clumsiness. "I'm sorry," she said quietly, looking away.
He only smiled. "You're alright, you dance just fine," Alexander said smoothly, which made Eliza blush even more.

She took a deep breath and looked over at him for a second. His dark eyes were shining as bright as his smile. Eliza finally faced her partner again.

He twirled her around and caught her petite body in a dip. Alexander's moves were flawless and polished, while Eliza struggled staying on her feet.

When the song was over, Alexander kissed her hand. Eliza's face was on fire.

"Would you like something to drink?" Eliza nodded and followed him to the bar section. He ordered a pop while she got lemonade. They went over to a corner to go talk.

"So I just danced with the Elizabeth Schuyler?" He asked, his smile wide.

"And I just danced with Alexander Hamilton," she said, in awe. Alexander nodded, "The one and only," He chuckled.

Eliza took a sip of her drink. "How did I manage to do that?" She whispered softly, hoping he wouldn't hear her. She looked over at the people dancing.

Alexander looked at the people as well. "I'm not into parties that much, my friends made me come," he pointed over to three other men laughing and drinking.

"My sisters begged me to come, I couldn't argue with them," Eliza sighed.

"Now, why did you pick me when there are so many other ladies on the dance floor?" She swept her hands to show off the people.

"Your sister directed me towards you," he told her. "Everyone else isn't as wonderful as you," he quickly added. A light coat of blush covered his cheeks.

"Angelica?" She asked, blushing. Her question was answered by nodding.

"She's a lovely lady as well, but," he shrugged. "I have no idea. She's quite something." He laughed and Eliza joined him, nodding.

Eliza looked around and saw Peggy. She awkwardly waved at her sister. Peggy waved back, questioning who she was with. Eliza shrugged and waved at her to continue dancing.

He looked over at her. "Elizabeth, you look stunning," he whispered loud enough for her to hear. She blushed furiously.

"You can call me Eliza," she told him in a small voice. He smiled at her.

"You can call me Alex, Alexander is too long,"

She smiled. "I like Alexander though," Eliza looked over at him.

Alex looked over towards his friends, pink coating his cheeks. "I should probably go," He told her, unenthusiastically. As he turned to leave, Eliza grabbed his arm and pulled out a pen. She quickly scribbled her number onto his skin.

He smiled looking down at the number. "I'll see you again," Alex waved and went back to his friends. She waved back.

Eliza sighed happily, watching Alex leave. Alexander Hamilton, with me? Who would have thought?
