I heaved the last of my bags into the boot, and slammed the door shut. I released an exhausted sigh, and turned back to my family.
I patted my baby on the head, before she threatened to cover me in dog slobber.
"Pip..." I moaned playfully.
"I'm gonna miss you Jade", my sister Ellie started, before breaking off into sobs.
"Aw El, I'm gonna miss you too, but we can Skype on weekends and I'll see you in the holidays", I assured her.
This seemed to comfort her a little, and she enveloped me in a hug. She let me go and I turned to my parents. After the whole "be safe and keep in touch" speech, I gave them each a hug, and headed for the taxi.
I got into the back seat, shut the door, and we were on our way.
I waved until I could no longer see my parents, little sis, and daffy dog, and then slumped into the hard cab seat. I pulled my headphones out, plugged them in, and gazed wearily out the window.
With Shawn Mendes blasting in my ears, I settled in for a long, long journey.

He watched from the dark corner of the auditorium. Alike the rest of the audience he was captivated by the brunette twirling across the stage.
This was the girl he had seen. These were the dance moves. He knew it.
Above the high screech of the violins, something else echoed throughout the theater.
A scream.
He froze.
He was too late, yet again...
