Out of the Friendzone ❤

It was the first day of school. Summer was great because I got to spend it with my best friends Ethan and Grayson. Half way through the school year, Ethan and I still haven't gotten out of the friendzone. We both know each other likes the other, but we never acted upon it. We had two classes together, and we also had lunch together. I always wondered, though, why Ethan and his friends were always whispering around me. I would hear them saying "Dude, just tell her already" and I always felt sad because then that meant that another girl had his heart...
I snapped out of my thoughts because my phone dinged because I got a text from Ethan.
Ethan 😜😍: Y/N
Me: ETHAN
Ethan 😜😍: 😟
Me: what's wrong 😟
Ethan 😜😍: there's something I need to tell you buuutttt and idk what ur reaction will be…
Me: is everything ok??
Ethan 😜😍: yeah, it's just really important thats all
Me: okay…
Ethan 😜😍: meet me in the courtyard at lunch today
Me: kk :)

~skip to lunch~

"Hey Y/N, you okay? You seem a little nervous about something" my friend Y/F/N asked me.
"Yeah, it's just that Ethan said he wanted to talk to me about something serious and I have no idea what it could be" I said.
"Maybe he's finally going to tell you he likes you." She says while wiggling her eyebrows.
"Eh, I doubt it. He likes someone else." I said.
"Stop being like that. Have a little hope yeah?" She says as the bell rings for lunch and we gather our things and leave the class.
"I guess…see you in precal" I said. We waved and went our separate ways. I walked nervously to the courtyard. A large group of people were gathered. I made my way through the large as I heard someone say "Here she comes!" As I finally get to thw middle, I saw a few people standing in a line. Ethan was at the end of the line. "What's going on?" I asked someone next to me. "Just wait." they said with a smile. Someone then said, "Guess the phrase". So then I began. The first clue was a person. It was my friend Will, so that one was easy. The second clue was a picture of Uncle Sam.

"Uuhh, You? Will You?" I said.
Then it was a picture of a bumblebee. "Will you be…" Then it was this picture…

"Me, no no my…" Then Ethan walked in front of everyone and unzipped his jacket and it said girlfriend on it.       "Y/N, we have been friends for years. Ive wanted to be so much more than that with you. So to make a long story short, well you be my girlfriend?" Ethan asked. By now I was blushing like crazy. "Yes." I said. Then we shared a short, but sweet kiss, and we hugged.

Finally we were out of the friendzone.
