Maya:
I was so busy with the studio planning that I totally forget to look after myself sometimes.
"Maya. Common you need a break." Lauren said and I sighed, nodding, turning my phone off and leaving out the front door with her and Aaliyah.
"Where are we going?" I asked and both of them smirks at me. "Well... you're gonna have to go dress shopping sometime soon or at some point so why not get a head start?" Aaliyah said and I blushed as I walked closer to the car, getting in.
We drove to 'Lacy's Wedding Dresses and Designs' and immediately a few caught my eye.
"Welcome ladies." A girl grreted us and she lead us to the dresses. Me, Lauren and Aaliyah both picked out 2 dresses for me to fit.
After about 5, I was getting really tired of getting dressed and then undressing again. "Guys this is exhausting." I whined.
"Just try on your second dress that you picked out." Lauren said and I walked back to the dressing room for the last dress.
As I came walking out both Lauren and Aaliyah and even the girl helping us gasped. "Is it that hideous?" I asked and Aaliyah rushed up to me, pushing me infront of the mirror.
"Aaliyah sto- woah." I said seeing myself in the mirror.
"This is beautiful." I said spinning around, admiring the dress in the mirror. "It sure is." Lauren said and I smiled over at her. "Girl I think that's the one!" She said and I squealed of happiness.
"You think?" I asked and they all nodded. I went back to the dressing room and took the dress off.
I paid for the dress and Lauren took us to Tim Horton's for some coffee. "Girls. I wanna ask you something." I said and they looked me dead in the eye.
I pulled out two black boxes out of my purse and handed them each one.
They opened it up and gasped, immediately answering with a 'YES!' in sync.
I gave them both a pin with the word 'Braidsmaid' engraved in it. That's my way of asking them to be there for my special day.
"Thank you." I said and gave each of them a hug.
We chatted for a while and then afterwards Laur dropped me and Aaliyah off at the house.
