"This is revolutionary!"
"Absolutely amazing. This is going to completely change the entire world. You've out done yourself James."
"Thank you sir."
"Imagine the properties for immunization of chemical warfare or biological attacks. This could even be applied to cures for diseases or cancer."
"When will you be ready for human testing James?"
"We've already started general."
"Excellent then get it done."
"Yes sir."
The room smelled of baking soda and the bright white walls were enough to give you a massive migraine for a week. It was also freezing, and a lab coat does little to protect you from the temperature. But these are all conditions required in a scientific research lab. The lab was filled with machines and devices all centered around chemicals. Viles were spinning and turning, going down tubes, changing colors, mixing. This particular part of the building was dedicated to cures and vaccinations. The current focus being a protection to bio-weaponry and viral terrorist attacks. They've made recent break throughs in a vaccination. James Weston is the head scientist and discovered a way to boost the immune system of the subject. The white blood cells are given a special chemical to make them more aggressive. The cells now need to find infections in the body or they would die, they become hungry. With that they become more effective.
James walked over to the a small cooling unit where the perfected vaccinations are held and pulled from it a small vile.
"No restraints or anything doc? Don't you watch any movies?" The volunteer said.
He laughed. "Restraints wont be necessary Mr. Morris. Were not making the Frankenstein here."
"Too bad I think it would be kind of cool. You guys should consider doing that for the next class project."
"Ill suggest it to my superiors."
The doctor extracted the golden liquid from the vile with a needle and plucked it to prepare for injecting. James maneuvered past tables and fellow scientist to the bed Morris layed in. Morris has a rare disorder that makes him extremely vulnerable to sickness. As a result he is almost always ill and has to take several medications to keep him alive. James appreciated how optimistic and care free he appeared to be though despite having such depressing circumstances. Hopefully this was a success. if so it would greatly improve his health.
"Who's that?" Mr. Morris asked.
Theyre were two beds in the lab both being used for the comfort of the volunteers. The other bed however across from Morris removed for a very special volunteer.
"A prisoner and another volunteer. Well he would be if he actually volunteered."
The prisoner stood up against the wall his arms spread and tightly held by chains. He wore a prison suit and mussel, though his eyes conveyed his emotions better then words ever could. The intensity in eyes told Morris he was a killer and that he would kill everyone in the room within a heart beat. A shiver went down his spine, and Morris wasn't sure but he thought he saw the prisoner smile at him, as if he knew the effect he had on Morris. It was difficult to tell if he was smiling cause of the mussel but Morris didn't really care he just wanted to get out of here. There were other people who volunteered as well, in other rooms receiving the same injection.
"You ready Mr. Morris?"
"Lets get this over with doc."
The needle pierced a vain in his neck and his blood filled with the chemical, his heart spreading it through his whole body. The doctor stepped back and studied Morris to see any physical changes in him. He could see none so far which was a good sign, the changes would be effective immediately since it circulates through the entire body. James could here grunting behind him. The prisoner was receiving his own injection.
