*breaths in*.... *sigh*. Aww, the forest. Oh how the wind gusts through the trees, and the leaves following after. There's nothing more beautiful then the season of Autumn. It was one of your most favorite times of the year. You couldn't wait to play in the leaves with your Father. Your father was the ruler of the forest, for he was the strongest above all creatures .You were in the middle of sleeping when a cold breeze hit your fur. You shivered in your sleep, but tried to ignore it by rolling the other way. Another breeze hit you and you decide to wake up. You opened your eyes lazily, but not all the way, only to shut them again to stretch. You got up and walk out of your den to be shot with a ray of sunlight. Though you weren't much of a morning animal, you would always wake up to the season of Fall. You lit up as you went back inside to wake up your father to come out and play. Of course since he was so big compare to your size, it took some time to wake him up.
"Come on father, it's morning! Wake up!" You said punching on the side of his stomach. He ignored you. You kept trying until you eventually woke him up. "Good morning princess. How'd you sleep" he asked getting up. "Like a cub". He chuckled. As you both walked out of your cozy den to the outside, you both change into human, but still had the ears and tail. "How does breakfast sound?" "I don't want breakfast, I wanna play now" you said. "We'll play later, right now you need to stay here while I get something to eat for us" "hmph, alright" you said with a pout. He jumped off the rock while changing back into tiger form. You hated it when your father leaves you. It's always lonely, and quiet. You have nothing to do for the time being, and it took a long time to catch a meal around here. You could have gone and played in the leaves, but you wanted to save that activity for your father. It was tough sometimes, but you always found a way. You switched back to tiger form to make it easy-ish to climb rocks. You couldn't help but notice a colorful object flying around near the flowers. It was a butterfly. Letting your feline instincts kick in, you jumped down from the rocks and on to the earth floor. You slowly creep up behind the colorful creature and keep a close eye on it so that if it flew away, you would be ready. It eventually for a couple of seconds flew away from the flower and you pounced on the air, and falling catching nothing in your paws. You kept trying, and ended bumping into something soft, Father was back, with a deer in his moth. "Wow! faster than last time, and you got my favorite, bonus" you said with a smile. "Yeah, I thought I could get you something special for you. Happy Birthday (YN)" he said dropping the deer. You both switched to human form. You decided to cook the deer on a fire since you preferred it cooked then raw. It just gave more flavor. "Hey, while you were playing with that butterfly, I want you to know that you should be careful of where your going, I don't want you to wonder off where I can't find you" he said with a serious face. "Oh dad, you should know me by now" you said teasingly "I'm serious, for a curious little feline like you, you are bound to get lost" he said looking into the fire. "Fine" you said with a bereft expression on your face. You two silently look at the fire while day turns to night. It was so peaceful in the forest. You let all your problems drift away in the calm wind. But there are somethings that you can't let go. Like for you, you've never met your mother before, neither have you seen her before. You only here stories from your father.
"Hehe" chuckled your father breaking the silence. "Hm? What's so funny" you asked your father. "Nothing, just thinking about how much you're like your mother. You continue eating your deer, while your father looks up at the nigh sky, enjoy the stars. He had a serious expression on his face though.
~~Flash Back~~
Your mother was laying beside you. You both sleeping in the same den you stay in today. You were still a newborn at the time, so you depended on you sense of hearing. "Good morning my little one" she said nudging your little cheek ( do tigers have cheeks?)." Morning beautiful" said your father leaning against the rock. "Morning honey" she said with a smile. "She looks just like you" he said looking over you "she looks like you too" said mother licking your fathers cheek." Hey, it's your turn to grab breakfast " your father said. "He, is that all you came to wake me up for" "sigh, alright, you know the deal" your mother said getting up and your father taking her place. She looked at you one last time before taking off into the deep woods to look for food while your father looks after you~~short time change~~
Mother has been taking a while since Autumn was coming to an end and close to winter, most of the animals went into hibernation. Later on, your mother kept searching, yet nothing. There has gotta be something around here. In the corner of her eye, she spots something on the ground from a far. A slab of meat? What was it doing here in the forest? It didn't matter, it's edible, and your mother took the bait. But what she didn't see, was the string tied around the meat that was connected to a string to a bell. "Hunters!" Said your mother dropping the meat and sprinting away. A whistle could be heard in the distance 2 dogs and gun shots shoot towards her but she was faster and managed to get away.
~~back at the den~~
Your father was now giving you a bath. His ear swooped to the side hearing paws running towards him. He stood up in defense. It was Mother. She came out panting and begging for air. "Honey, what's happening what's going on?" said your father worryingly "Hunters" said your mother in fear. "Quick, get (YN) somewhere safe" she said as your father picked you up by his mouth and ran. Your mother stayed behind to hold off the hunter so that he could not get to her precious cub. She would do anything to protect you, even risk her own life. The hunter and his two dogs eventually came, he was only a black silhouette with the reflection of glasses. Your mother roared that the hunter but didn't scare him off.Your father was far away from the scene but had a close enough view for him to see her. You watched as your mother is shot. Everything seems slower, your mother was gone. You hid as you wait for the hunters to leave. The man took a knee and looked above your mothers deceased corpse. He stood back up and waved down the other men without saying a word. They soon walked away. You waited for a bit and finally decided to come back out. You walked slowly towards your mother and your father followed. You didn't know what to do, you just stared at her, not believing she was actually gone. You stated to nervously laugh. You looked back at your father who was too in shock to hear you. "Dad.....she's......she's not actually...dead" you said walking up to him. "Dad she's not dead, she just got knocked out or tired from all the actions" you said trying to make up excuses. You went back to her and nudged her head, letting her know that she can wake up now. "Come on mom, the bad guys are gone now, you can wake up" no response. Tears started forming in your eyes. "Mom stop playing around, mom you gotta wake up" still no response. Your father soon got out of shock, and looked at you sadly, but no tears. "Mom...mom!....MOOOM!!". You stopped rambling and quit, you just excepted she was dead, you started to cry harder. Your father walked up to you, touching you to let you know he was hear. You quickly gave him a hug, rapping your arms around him tightly.
*Flash back over*
You both just stared into the fire with a depressed look on your face's. "I'm not hungry anymore" you said getting up and walking into the den to sleep for the rest of the night.Wow this chapter took me FOREVER, but I hoped you enjoyed it and let's hope I'll get done with chapter 2
