"Why..? Why would you do this to yourself?" The ginger asked, although he knew he wouldn't get a response. He sat there in the hospital room staring at the brunette's unconscious body. The doctors said that he'd be fine, but.. would he really? He'd just try harder the next time around. He always does. Thought Chuuya. In fact after every trip to this place it'd get worse. He'd try so hard to take his life, even though the doctors always try so hard to save him.

"I wish you would stop.." He mumbled. No response. "I wish you would stop." He mumbled once more. Still no response. "I wish you would stop trying to destroy what they rescued." Why was he still talking? He knew there would be no answer.

"Will you sing for me Chuuya~?" The shorter male froze. Four hours. Four fucking hours he waited for this man to wake up. Four fucking hours he waited for him to answer his questions. Four goddamned hours and the first thing he says is 'Will you sing for me?'

"No." He snapped. "I will not sing for you, you shitty fuck." Dazai feigned being offended. "Is Chuuya mad at me?" The ginger didn't answer, instead he glared. "Is Chuuya angry that this is the third time in the past two weeks that' I've put myself into a hospital?"

A harsher glare.

"Is Chuuya angry because he knows that I'll do it again as soon as I'm discharged?"

Chuuya wished he would stop talking.

A smile spread across the brunette's lips. "No. Chuuya isn't angry. He's sad. He is sad because he knows that I'm getting closer to succeeding."

He hadn't even noticed the tears that were falling from his sapphire eyes, and rolling down his cheeks. "Stop." He said finally. "Stop talking."
But he didn't stop. "Chuuya is sad because he knows once I kill myself he'll be left alone." Why was he doing this? Was he trying to make the shorter male hurt? "But only that's not true." He began. "You won't be left alone because you have your friends in the Mafia, don't you?"

"...."

Dazai's smile turned into a smirk. "You know that I'm right."

"... They don't mean as much.." Much like the tears, he hadn't realized he was shaking. He wanted desperately for Dazai to quit talking. "You're lying." The brunette spat harshly.

And for the first time today, Chuuya smiled. "I'm not."

"I don't believe you."

He stood up from the chair he was sitting in and walked over to the taller man's hospital bed. "Would you like me to prove it?" The smirk on his face faded at that moment. "If you'd like~" And so he did. He pressed their lips together, and pulled away after a few moments. "Do you believe me now?"

His smile returned after a few seconds. "No, I don't."

"You should."

A few minutes later a nurse walked in, telling him that visiting hours were up. Chuuya didn't want to leave. He didn't want to because he knew Dazai wasn't stable alone. He grabbed his coat and opened the door. "Don't do anything stupid when you get discharged tomorrow."
There was no point in saying that, not really. He won't rest until he takes his life. His mental state deteriorates more and more everyday, and the ginger doesn't know how to fix him.

"There are no promises."

"... I know.."

Chuuya spoke first this time.

"I love you."

"You don't."

And Chuuya left. On his way home he started singing quietly to himself.

"You would do anything to destroy the body that they rescued."

He sang, trying to remember the words that followed.

"Your sick little head, so brain damaged.."

"And lying in that hospital bed..."
