*Kaylani POV*

"WHAT!" Leonardo shouted catching everyone's attention at the restaurant. But before Sebastian could explain, Leonardo's eyes began to sparkle like the stars who caress the night. His eyes grew watery until they spilled down his cheek. No emotion, no words, nothing. His face was dead and emotionless. Every possible emotion he should be feeling was enclosed within every tear drop. My heart honestly broke for him.

"Son, this doesn't change anything. I still love you and I will always be your dad until my final breath on this earth. What your mother did is unforgivable but none of this is your fault." Sebastian embraced Leonardo with his words. I soon begin to see ease flow back into his face.

"I need time to think about this. But thank you. I have bigger shit to worry about." Leonardo ran his fingers through his hair. Oh how I missed the sight of him.

"Son, I took the company away from Monserrat." Sebastian whispered.

"What!" Leonardo jumped.

"Because Kaylani is my first child, I thought it was ethical to give it to her. Whatever she decides to do with the company is her call." He explained. I was truly overwhelmed with all of this new found power. I am a billionaire when yesterday I had Campbells soup for lunch. I can't truly grasp this yet.

"Sebastian I don't really think it's safe for me to take over such a large company. I know how much this means to you and your family. I don't want to destroy your hard work. I'll be happy to give back the chair to Leonardo." I shyly suggest as I tried to avoid making eye contact with Leonardo.

"I don't want it." Leonardo said abruptly. My heart shook a little. He finally said something to me after all this time.

"Really it's no big-

"I don't want it. Ever since I took over, my life has been took a fall. Because of this company, I lost something so precious and valuable." Leonardo said. I couldn't help but wonder what he was referring to.

"I lost the only joy I had by my side. If anything, the only good thing I got from Carta was meeting you, Kaylani." He said as his glistening eyes look at me. My heart sunk to my toes and my belly bounced. Obviously the babies had heard that.

"I'm glad Carta brought you came into my life. But I regret losing you because of it." Leonardo continued.

"I'm going to use the bathroom." Sebastian purposely interrupted. He stood up and left immediately. He knew we needed to be alone.

"I'm speechless." I mumble.

"You deserve an explanation. I know you left Carta because of Monserrat's baby. I didn't know how badly this could hurt until now. I know what you felt. I can see you're expecting and let me say that the guy who is giving you this beautiful miracle is blessed. Cause God knows how blessed I would've been if it was me." Leonardo said. I saw the build up of emotions in his eyes. He was nearly in tears.
