Third Person's POV

"Oh yeah, you've got exams starting on Wednesday. Don't tell me you forgot."

There were students who groaned and either banged their heads against their desk or rubbing their neck with a sigh. Surely every student wouldn't forget the exams coming up except they really had forgotten about it...

"Anyway, open your textbooks because today we'll be talking about 'The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter'. Most theorize it's the oldest story in Japan; for some, it's the oldest science-fiction story in the world. But if you ask me, it's the oldest story in Japan about a terrible woman."

Lois' eye was moving, reading the words written in her textbook as she listened to Ms. Kawakami.

"I mean, Princess Kaguya gives her suitors absurd tasks, demands fancy gifts, then runs off to the moon. Some men lose their fortunes, some are humiliated, and some even get serious wounds or go blind. Women like Princess Kaguya actually show up in a lot of stories from around the world... Now then, Kurusu-kun."

All the eyes were darted to the frizzy haired student as he sat straight from bored position.

"What do people generally call a woman who has a charm that sometimes leads men to their doom?"

The teacher asked and after a minute of thinking Akira answered. "A femme fatale."

"That's right." Ms. Kawakami clapped her hands for getting the answer she was expecting.

"The answer is femme fatale. Literally translated it means "fatal woman." Some famous examples are the witch Morgan le Fay from Arthurian legend and Queen Salome from the Bible. Not to mention the wild, seductive dancer of the opera, Carmen."

"Whoa, he actually knew that?"

"Maybe I should ask if I can borrow his notes..."

"Yeah you should. So I can borrow Lois' notes, not always be the one who is second because someone always borrowing the notes before I was going to borrow from her."

"Well, you aren't acting fast so that's what you get!"

"Okay, quiet down!" Ms. Kawakami slammed her hand to the board to get her class' attention which she succeeded.

Lois looked behind her where she heard her name and saw her two classmates; a boy and a girl. The girl had her arms crossed in front while the boy rested his chin in his palm. When he saw Lois was looking, his face grew red in embarrassment.

The eyepatch girl smiled and shook her head before turning her attention towards in front.

"Let me just warn you that exams aren't so easy that you can pass them with a single night of cramming. Take your time and make sure you understand the material, OK?"

The classes were over for today and everyone was taking their leave out from their classroom to who knew where they planned to.

The setting sun was beautiful to watch as well as its vibrant color of red and orange in hue like watercolor. The three phantom thieves hangout at the school's rooftop, their meeting place, and made themselves comfortable.
